About Me

BlackpoolBands.co.uk is the Fylde's No. 1 resource for unsigned bands, gigs, music events, venues, recording studios, practice rooms and anything music related.

After a recent re-design and complete re-development, the site's content is now entirely controled by the local music community. This includes comprehensive band, venue and gig listings - and as developments grow, new venue management and band management features will be available.

The site currently has over 400 active members who each have the ability to list their bands, gigs and contribute to the community forums on a daily basis.

BlackpoolBands was started by Stephen Skelly in January 2004 and has went from strength to strength since it's launch. In late 2005 Chris Sebok took over the running of the site and re-developed it as a full content management system. Though the site is unfinished and developments are constantly on-going, it's still a rich resource for local bands, venues and promoters with plenty of handy tools to get your band seen.
