About Me

I'm Chris - mainly on here to promote and manage my band Hind-D , but like to leave abusive messages on people's profiles every now and again too :P

I work as a professional geek during the day, work as a sound engineer at Riffs in Blackpool most weekends and run my own recording studio. I'm available for hire as a sound engineer - give me a message. Recording portfolio to come, but for now check out the tunes on the Hind-D myspace above.

Also worth mentioning that I run Blackpool Bands with Stephen Skelly - a pretty successful local band site (check my friends list).

My Interests

Bass guitar, music, music production (from recording to mixing / mastering), films, badminton, gym, swimming, rugby, computers and computer games.

I started Hind-D in September 2005 with my best mate, Sam (drums). I play bass in the band and do most of the management / organisation.

We also have Johnny on guitars (whom I might add is fooking brilliant :P) and Vicky on lead vocals.

I play an Ibanez BTB 556-MP 6 string bass & occasionally my Active Fender Jazz. I also have an Ampeg SVT-4 PRO head and an Ampeg 810HP Cabinet. As far as effects go, I use a Line 6 Echo Park and an EBS MultiComp.

Movies:

Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Scarface, Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Layer Cake, my Arnie collection ;)

Television:

Can't stand TV... don't watch it... ever! Though I do buy DVDs... South Park, Futurama, The Office, Black Books, Red Dwarf, The Mighty Boosh, Black Adder, The Simpsons & Family Guy.

Books:

Unfortunately I don't have much time to read books, but my favourites from the past are the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings and the Adrian Mole series.

Heroes:

My only heroes come in the form of bass players:
