Mick Armistead, Sound Engineer

About Me

I am a sound engineer, music producer and musician based in Lancaster UK. In 1986 I built and established the legendary Music Co-op Studio under the name 'Blueprint' and then after a one year diversion into the world of rock 'n roll - playing keyboards with the (also legendary) Manchester indie band James I sold the studio to the Music Co-op. I've been a freelancer ever since working in several studios in the area, location recording and mixing live shows. I also help people with music projects in their home studios.
My production work includes composing music and sound FX for films, multimedia, dark rides . . . . stuff like that!
I work regularly with Protools, Logic, Digital Performer, Reason, Cubase SX and even Ableton (if you ask me nicely!)
If you need a top quality demo or album recording I can do this in a choice of studios to suit your needs and budget or if you need someone to mix your gigs or even if you want some help in your home studio drop me a line.
My business partner husky is a fantastic graphic designer and illustrator who designs primarily for musicians, bands, producers and record labels - anyone in the music industry and is available for album cover, poster, flyer, promotion and logo design. Have a look at the slideshow on her page
Check out the tracks in my mp3 player for some examples of my production and engineering work, I'll change them from time to time so keep coming back.
