Aagoo

Aagoo records was started in 2001 by Alec Dartley to release artists around NYC that he felt weren't getting the right exposure. After 5 years and a handful of releases from Zemog el Gallo Bueno, Mofongo, and Luc, Aagoo teamed up with Long Beach, Ca based Oedipus Records to release Au's self titled album. The album's critical acclaim influenced Alec to want to take Aagoo a step further. In September of 2007 he hired Gabe Abaud of Oedipus to co-run Aagoo from Brooklyn.
now in 2008 Aagoo is mainly run by Alec, other important collaborators and friends of the label include: Jose Ayala, , Honest design, Luke Wyland and John Schroeder.
