Original Rock Band

About Me

In the fall of 1998, Ervey Rodriguez Jr. invited Tavo Jiménez to a jam session to have him contribute to two songs Ervey wrote and was in the process of recording in a studio. The musical chemistry in the intial sessions and recordings was immediate. The two musicians decided to fully focus their muscial talents together into a project they decided to call JAIGURU. The band spent 1999 writing and recording songs for their first full length album. The band released their debut album BROKEN in 2000. The band spent the next year and a half touring all throughout Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, and Texas. The band's 2001 tour included multiple dates in: Chicago, Rock Island, Moline (IL), Iowa City, Des Moines, Davenport (IA),Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi (TX).In late 2002, the band decided to take a break and Ervey decided to move to San Antonio, Texas, to work on a solo project. In 2004, Ervey returned to Illinois and reunited with Tavo Jiménez. In 2005, the two began writing music together again. The musical chemistry that drove the band, once again led to the evolution of the band's sound heard today.JAIGURU is: Gustavo Jiménez (vocals & guitar) Ervey Rodriguez, Jr. (vocals & bass) Jesse Rodriguez (drums)Their sound will move you.MyGen Profile Generator
