From the land of the pilgrims & indians, AMERICA's HOMETOWN~
PLYMOUTH MASSACHUSETTS is Stephie Peeka & The SEEKING 7.
MOODY NEW ENGLAND ROCK N ROLL,
led by the new and unique female voice of SINGER/SONGWRITER/GUITARIST,
STEPHIE PEEKA, SeeKing 7 is part of
the ROcK n RoLL REVOLUTION.
In her teens, Stephie was asked to join on guitar for the all-girl band, BARACUDA. They were based in Las Vegas and relocation would have been required.
"I was way too immature and insecure to do it then", she says. "It was also encouraging to me since Suzi Quatro and Joan Jett both did the all-girl band early in their career. Seeing what came of it in each musicians lives, it wasn't meant to be for me.
After high school (where she was scouted to play for Northeastern University's Women's Ice Hockey team), Stephie worked at Strawberries Records and started studying w/master guitar teacher, Tom Doyle. Tom's teaching is slated as one of the best methods in New England.
Stephie spent the next few years in numerous hospitals around Boston. She was mis-diagnosed for 20 years since an operation as a 1 year old. A then thought 'port-wine stain or hemangioma' was found to be a much more serious, 'Arterial Venous Malformation' on her right side of her face.
"It took my 20's to deal w/the AVM. A few operations and procedures. The good part was I grew alot as a person. My spiritual part of me awakened."
She then began studying acting, of all things, in Boston at CP Casting and did numerous background acting roles and a starring role in a Mass College of Art film. Stephie earned her Screen Actors Guild card and is a member of SAG.
"All this time I spent acting and studying acting I found very therapeutic for my emotional stuff from my surgeries and facial issues. Weird since that business thrives on the superficial! I was also writing new music, 4 tracking it and developing during all that time of surgery, sabbatical, and repeating more surgery and the acting period."

~~~SeeKing 7 have been playing in NEW ENGLAND since February 2003 around Boston clubs TT the BEARS in Cambridge, THE SKY BAR in Somerville, O'BRIENS in Allston, ABBEY LOUNGE in Somerville, HENNESSY'S near Fanueil Hall, Boston, The CANTAB Lounge in Cambridge Mass, PA's LOUNGE & CLUB GOODTIMES in Somerville Mass, THE CONTINENTAL in NEW YORK CITY, Upstairs @ EDWARDS Hammersmith, LONDON ENGLAND.
Their songs are spun on local radio airplay on PIXY 103 FM, and at www.PIXY103.com SeeKing 7 are ARTIST OF THE MONTH for April 2004.
STEPHIE PEEKA is the PRODUCER of the second release, this 16~song album,Inside The BIG Picture,was recorded at SOLSTICE STUDIOS IN STOUGHTON, MA USAwith ULTRASOUND PRODUCTIONS ENGINEER, JOE CLAPPwho engineered also the first album, SeeKing 7 c.2003
