State of Mind started in the summer of 2003 when Dave and myself were at a fest in Fla. The long car ride to Fla and back to long island, we talked about starting up the label the minute we got home. Two weeks later at a local pizzeria we came up with the name (State of Mind) and started talking about what new bands we wanted to see about working with. A month later we had 3 releases lined up, and well the rest is history.
