DYNOMITE D

About Me

----------It all started in 1969 at Dynomite D's first concert...JIMI HENDRIX..." My mother at that time was pregnant with me, Her and my father went to see Jimi..For all my life I can't remember a time not knowing about him and his music....Jimi is my biggest influence.. He was and still is..... the KING OF ROCK!"------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------- In 1985 when Hip Hop culture was in it's golden beginnings, Dynomite D. was right there with it...A Skateboard kid who was a fan of the Powell Peralta Bones Brigade was also into Run D.M.C. and Break dancing. Dynomite D. was as much at home with the skateboarders and punks as with b-boys and b-girls. The first Hip Hop show Dynomite went to was T-La Rock with DJ Louie Lou In 1985. Soon after Dynomite was introduced to DJ Cut master E. a local DJ in the South Seattle Area. This introduction led to Dynomite's obsession with the turntables and Hip Hop. The two Dj's started playing at house party's all over the Seattle area. In 1986 While working for Safeway Dynomite would spend all of his money on the latest Hip-Hop and Punk singles and his weekends skateboarding. Dynomite would also attend Seattle Punk Rock shows ("Grunge?") with bands like The Accused, and Soundgarden. In 1986 after going to see the Run D.M.C and Beastie Boys(Licensed To Ill Tour)Dynomite purchased a Roland 909 drum machine and switched some of his attention from skating to making his own beats. In 1988 being Influenced by groups like Public Enemy, De La Soul, and Tone Loc Dynomite D. purchased a Ensoniq EPS Sampler. But it wasn't until 1989 when he bought the new Beastie Boys record "Paul's Boutique", That he would get his calling to Producing tracks. Being highly influenced by the production of The Bomb Squad, Prince Paul and The Dust Brothers Dynomite D. began his journey into sampling, collecting rare records and finding dope beats. Thrift stores, garage sales, swap meets and pawn shops are where you'll still find him looking for the elusive break beat or musical item for his production. Dynomite D's style owes alot to his record collecting and the influences of his youth, everything from Hip Hop, Rock and Heavy Metal to Funk, Punk and New Wave.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------- ------------Dynomite D. has produced and or remixed tracks for the following:-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------Beastie Boys, Hurricane, Money Mark, Man Ray, Kid Koala, FCS North, The Free Design (Light In The Attic Records), Modest Mouse, 764-Hero (Up Records), Planet Hemp, Cincinnati Player, Log Hog, Brooks Z B, Bombay 2 (Motel Records), Jerky Boys (soundtrack), Funky Mafia, Volume All Star, The Clarence Mack Express (Electricraft), Clutch (soundtrack), Weedles Groove (Light In The Attic Records), D.L.T. feat.
