I like listening to old school r&b late at night when Im havin afew drinks.Love to drive a club to a frenzy when Im doin my thing.I like havin my own space alone from time to time.Originally from the Booggie Down Bronx,born and raised.I now live in Auburndale Florida.(I love it here!)I like to lift weights and drink coffee on my porch while it rains early on sunday mornings. Now,back in the day's I used to be down with T-La-Rock who recorded the legendary song,"It's Yours".The first record to show the "DefJam" label,which help setoff the label.It was not the full blown "DefJam" label until "LL Cool J" recorded "I Need A Beat".It was manufacterd and distributed by "StreetWise Records" at the time.The beat was programed by Rick Rubin and retouched by Dj LouieLou at Rick Rubins dorm in downtown Mannhattan. Me & Rick Rubin did this side by side before it went to the recording studio.(Much Respect for Rick Rubin.)I remember Rick saying, "I am going to put this on a record and name the label DefJam !! I remember Rick Rubin playing the electric guitar to the beat as to come up with more ideas for it.I swear I never in my wildest dreams would I have thougt "DefJam" would be what it is today !! Me and T-La-Rock thought the "DefJam" idea was corny at first!! Anyway,it was a blast and a pleasure working alongside with Rick Rubin. I started cuttin in 1976 and taught by "DJ Mean Jean the 2nd". Been to the OJ club where T-La-Rock and I met,the T-Connection with DJ Wizz Kid (Play that beat),The Roxy Disco in NewYork city,The Marquis in Mahattan,the FunHouse,Latin Quarters,The Devils Nest,Danceteria,Club Red 1888 Boston Mass,The Garage in the Boogie Down Bronx,Skate Key, all over europe,and places I can't even pronounce or remember.(See what happens when you smoke too much weed.I quit smokin weed along time ago.)Rocked in the streets of the boogiedown Bronx with Powwow from "Soul Sonic Force"before he did Planet Rock.DJ Starsky from The World Famous Zulu Nation.
Rocked with The Untouchables,Was the dj for The Unstoppable Crew,(Bronx,NewYork)performed on stage with 2 Live Crew,Salt & Pepper,Mantronix & mc Tee,Filled in for the legendary "kool dj Red Alert" at mc Sparky Dee's show in seattle,Krs 1 & Scott La Rock in Phillie,King Cut,mc Search,DJ Clark Kent,Joyce Simms,Hanson&Davis,Norcera,side by side with DJ Jazzy Jay,(yo jay,remember those girls in that North Carolina show back in 87!!?)filled in for "DJ Easy Lee" for the Treacherous 3,and so many more to name.Me and T-La-Rock stay in touch to this very day.GregNice of "Nice&Smooth"(HipHop Junkies) was the human beatbox of the group.We were on SleepingBag records,the home of EPMD,Mantronix and Todd Terry known for the club classic "Bango,and how u feel out there",Norcera,JustIce.
