CURRENT EXHIBITION LIGCA's Retrospective - 15 years of exhibiting art from around the world
Spring 2008
From our humble creation in 1993 at Southbank International School to our present space donated by the O2 Centre and opened by Glenda Jackson MP, London International Gallery of Children’s Art has remained devoted to our aims: encouraging the creativity of children and promoting international understanding through cultural exchange.
It is with these aims in mind that we are presenting this well-earned celebration of the Gallery's past exhibitions. The retrospective serves as both a rare chance for the public to revisit remarkable works from former exhibitions and a show of gratitude to all the young artists with whom we have had the pleasure to work.
The selected works awaiting you may originate from a variety of continents, cultures and countries but they are unified by their use of frequently unconventional methods and materials to deliver eloquent personal expressions seemingly far beyond the young artists' years.

THE GALLERY
London International Gallery of Children's Art (LIGCA) is devoted to encouraging the creativity of children and to promoting international understanding through cultural exchange. Our hope is to open the eyes of visitors to the integrity and power of children's art.
LIGCA hosts exhibitions of children's art from every corner of the world including artwork by local children. We run a programme of
educational events in conjunction with our exhibitions, which are offered
free of charge to state schools and community groups.
Workshops, residencies, one-off projects or events can be arranged after further discussion with the LIGCA education team. Out of school hours, we offer an exciting range of
art workshops and courses catering for 2-12 year olds.
We have good
disabled access and can provide qualified special needs practitioners if required.
