The show, called “None More Black” went out fortnightly on Saturdays and was co-hosted with Adam Barry. Alex has also recently been taken on by booking agents in Italy and China and is working towards doing some gigs in both countries in 2007.
Alex Donald has been around and involved with music since she was a child. She was practically raised on tour as her father is the legendary Irish jazz saxophonist Keith Donald who was in seminal band Moving Hearts. She did her first recording session as a vocalist with renowned Irish musician and Pogues member Terry Woods when she was 13. Since then she has gigged with numerous bands all over Ireland, in venues as diverse as Slane Castle, The Clarence Hotel, Solas and the Front Lounge. She has also done many recording sessions, both for bands and for commercial jingles and with her band en, released a single "Adventures of a Tragic Man" on Underdog Records in 2000.
Alex has recently returned to Dublin from London where she was living for a couple of years. In addition to DJing, Alex completed her first novel in 2006 and is currently seeking an agent for her work.
