About Me

Hi! I'm Dáithí ÒCleirigh, AKA KlarkE.Clarke, originally of Dublin origin-now based in Helsinki. Welcome to my pages, where I'll be updating you on my latest musical antics as rhythmatist, percussionist, occasional guitarist, musical arranger and general nuisance. Over the recent few years I've produced and worked with a broad range of Scandinavian artists both in the studio and on the road, touring the length and breadth of the stunning Nordic landscape and beyond. Some of my recent band collaborations from Scandinavia can be seen and heard at the accompanying sites of Dustan Marshall & The Remedy, Air BC, Lanya, Wabanag, Hossni Boudali, Pukka, LoFi Junkies, Papermonk, Kukkakepit and Muusa. I've endorsed performed and as a Gretsch Drums Artist and house band rhythmatist for Dayla Monks Red Hot Blues Club at Scandic InterContinental Hotel (Helsinki) with New Orleans brightest young light Dustan Marshall & The Remedy. I've been touring nationally and internationally with native groove artists Wabanag, as well as recording tribal and traditional rhythms on our Canadian Grammy Award nominated album 'Ulodi' which we made with BoxCo Records...you can find a TV documentary (made by Finland National Television YLE) based on the production behind the album on my video page. I've also performed with a broad range of other local independent bands throughout my years here in Helsinki, including the recording of acoustic and digital percussions on the debut album and top-ten chart hit Kauniimmin Kuin Koskaan with Muusa. I've posted a variety of other tracks from some of the artists I've worked with to the recently added music player above...otherwise enjoy the video below of recent footage from the excellently mellow Soul Family featuring the sublime Morroccan stylings of Hossni Boudali, performing live at Kuudes Linja Helsinki, and get a flavor of the sounds of the Finnish Underground. I've put some other fun video clips of my band sessions at my videos and favorites, where more clips shall be posted, as soon as I figure out how to improve the sound quality! Welcome, these are just some of my recent Scandinavian based projects, you can reference my Dublin based projects through the link to the KlarkE.Clarke site below...hope you enjoy the site and find links to nice music...

My Interests

Band Website: daithioclerigh.com
Band Members: When I'm based in Finland or touring abroad I endorse Gretsch Catalina Birch Drums and Gibraltar Hardwear. My Gretsch acoustic drums were accessed through Peter Harjunpää at Espoon Musiiki, and stick support comes from Fazer Music. Cymbals are from Sabian. Everywhere I go I use a Roland Electronics TDI6 module and VDrums, Rolands R5 Human Rhythm Composer, far too many Boss pedals, with my acoustic drums linked through classic DDrum triggers.
