Sounds Like:
THE COUNTRY DARK - Deliriumic Sounds From Life's Other Side
Roots punk, country and rockabilly gets a good whoopass workover by this new Finnish supergroup with members of Cosmo Jones Beat Machine, The Festermen and Slideshaker. This genre has sorta worn me out, but The Country Dark has something else that sets'em apart from other acts. It's dirty yet tuneful, campy yet playful - it's basically highly fuckin' recommendable! I've played "Liquor & Whoring" many times on Lowcut R'n'R Radio, the guitar licks are infectious almost criminal. "Deliriumic Sounds" is their debut EP.
If you dig: Charlie Feathers, Johnny Burnette, Reverend Horton-Heat

JEFFREY JAMES AND THE IDIOTS - Hotsy-Totsy
When you hear 100s or 1000s of trash, garage, rockabilly records and CDs, you don't easily get that kick like when you hear The Cramps, The Stooges, The Sonics, ... for the 1st time. Jeffrey James And The Idiots just did it to me. 4 track EP, but definitely one of the best EPs I ever heard. This is their debut release. Guys played in bands: Larry And The Lefthanded, 20 Minuters and Phantom 409. Mix of garage, psychobilly and blues. Very very primitive sound. Could be compared with The Cramps, or even better with obscure 60s trash band Groupies - "Primitive". Where The Cramps go rockabilly, Jeffrey James And The Idiots turn to blues. Anyway, these 4 songs are over before you know it. This is definitely a must have for all No Brains readers!!!

JEFFREY JAMES & THE IDIOTS - Hotsy-Totsy
