About Me

We are the Repair Zone (Fred, Dave and Jeff) and you're not! We've been repairing virtually anything with strings attached to it for the past 20 years. This means Electric and Acoustic Guitars! Basses - electric, acoustic and stand-up! Mandolins, Ukuleles, Dobros, Banjos, Violins, Bouzoukis, Balalaikas, Ouds, Dulcimers, Cuatros, Lap Steels! In other words, if it has strings, we are NOT afraid! We also provide warranty service for Gibson, Takamine and Ovation! We should also mention that re-frets and fret dressings are a specialty of ours! Conversions from fretted to fretless as well.
Originally located within the walls of Guitar Trader, we have been here at our current location for over 10 years! The Repair Zone and its crew provide repairs, modifications, parts and service for all fretted instruments.
We also build custom, bolt-on neck electric guitars (Naked Guitars) to your specifications and desires. Just give us a call for more info!
The Repair Zone uses D'Addario strings, if you have another preferred string, please supply them during set-ups or any other work requiring a re-string. Thanks!

My Interests

We'll fix your guitars and other stringed instruments! Really! We will. And you'll be happy! This includes all you Les Paul players who just love breaking headstocks.
On a daily basis we work on (new and vintage) Gibson, Fender, Gretsch, PRS, Taylor, Martin, Ibanez, Danelectro, Epiphone, Teisco, Vox, ESP, BC Rich, Jackson, Yamaha, Guild, Parker, Ovation, Dean, Ernie Ball, and various pointy...guitars! You name it, we've worked on it!

I'd like to meet:

Every guitar slinger in San Diego county or Southern California for that matter! This includes touring bands as well. If you're in town and your guitar goes on the fritz...The Repair Zone is the place to go!
For all you rockabilly kats, we are huge fans and masters of...the Bigsby! So if your guitar isn't already equipped, give a call or stop on by for a retro-fit. To all you male customers out there, be sure to drag your girlfriends along. As much as we like looking at cool guitars, well...you know!
