I've been making music for as long as I can remeber. I had the pleasure of working with insanely talented people in my lifetime. I've worn MANY hats too. Player, writer, producer, engineer, teacher, mixer... peacekeeper!!! LOL!
My first real band was in Jr. High it was with Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), Bob Sale (the best drummer in the world!) and a few others I can't remember now. (sorry)
Played almost every high school in San Diego when I was younger. That was with a band named Cocoa Blue then we graduated to playing clubs and bars. That band was an amazing cover band. We kicked ass and worked a lot. Jason Scheff (Chicago) played with us for a while. He allowed us to play a lot more funk and jazz. I had a lot of fun but wanted to ROCK more... One day I got a call from some dude with a very deep voice and he asked me 'What size hoof do you have'? I responded with huh? he repeated his question.. i replied again with huh?.. then he said 'WHAT SIZE SHOE DO YOU WEAR'! That was my first contact with Rob (Robin) Crosby. Most people know him from Ratt. He asked me to join his band Phenomenon. I did. We rocked hard and ingested lost of chemicals too! The band evolved and later became Mac Meda. We moved to L.A. and fell apart.
Somewhere in there I played with Rick Elias (That Thing You Do, and a ton more) Bob Monroe was in that band. He later asked me to join 'The Monroes' but I didn't really want to play that kind of music so, I told my brother Rusty to show up at the rehearsal instead of me.. that worked out well. They had a hit single and toured in the 80's.Later in the 80's I played in Aircraft, The Jones Band then, Aircraft again!
Lot's of Aqua Net and Marshall stacks!!!After that moved to Los Angeles to become a rock star. (more on that later)
I got to work with some great people and learned a TON about the music business. Had some success but stuff didn't quite turn out the I planned. Funny how life works that way!
I've played on or, written, produced everything from Million selling records to TV commercials and corporate training videos. The songs on my player are all things I've either worked on, played on , or written, or co-written. (IF I CAN GET THE DAMN THING TO WORK AGAIN!!!!) I've got tons of other stuff but these are some of the ones that people may have actually heard of... maybe not.. I'll try and change things up a bit as time permits.
