If loving music and the blues in particular is a crime then I’m guilty as charged! I grew up listening to what was then called "Southern Rock" or "Blues Rock" Bands like The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and artists like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck were my early influences. Later I got in to Stevie Ray and ZZ Top and at the same time began to look back to the source of their sound. People like Muddy Waters, Albert King and of course the King of the Blues B.B. King.Now I spend as much time as I can in the blues clubs checking out the bands and playing my heart out when I can. After Hurricane Katrina I had the priviledge of jamming with some of New Orlean’s finest blues artists, people like Rooster, Big Willy Locket and the All Purpose Blues Band, and of course the best and hardest working band on Bourbon Street, my good friends Big Al Carson and the Bluesmasters. If you make it to New Orleans look these guys up, you won’t be disappointed.
