ANIKA - vocalist, songwriter. Borned in Wroclaw, Poland.
She started artistic activities in 1991. Her first contact with the audience
was in the clubs, where she has sung folk ballads with herself acoustic
guitar accompaniment.
She has been also known as stricte rock vocalist in her first band "Anika"
which performed mainly live concerts.
The band broke down in 1995 and Anika has returned to acoustic solo gigs.
She's played on the guitar and sung in polish music clubs.
Since 2000 she's joined to "Blues Rock Guitar Workshop" project.
That cooperation caused recording Jimi Hendrix's tribute album named "Thanks Jimi"
(Anika-voc, Stan Skibby-voc, guit, Leszek Cichonski-guit, Wlodek "Lola" Krakus - bass,
Andrzej Ryszka-drums).
The album's got many positive reviews in polish and foreign media
and band did a couple of wonderful Tours in Poland and abroad.
2003 Anika has returned once again to playing acoustic shows
with company of guitarist Jurek Styczynski
(legendary polish group "Dzem").
The concerts of this duo gained more sympathy
and confidence from a numerous audience
thanks to Anika's extraordinary voice
and Jurek's beautiful and authentic play on the guitar.
The effects were many awards from polish and foreign press.
Since 2005 guitarist Bartek Miarka has joined to Anika's acoustic project.
