About Me
Born in Glasgow in 1982, Drummer and Percussionist, Stuart Semple, enjoys playing in all musical genres. He has performed and recorded with a diverse range of groups including: Royal Scottish National Orchestra with West End International & katherine Jenkins etc; Royal Shakespeare Company; Orchestre De Paris; 7 Things & Spring Heel Jack; Scottish Concert Orchestra; Scottish Opera; Ulster Orchestra; BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra; The Heritage Orchestra; Paragon Ensemble. He also plays with Semta Quartet and the traditional cuban group Peña.
Stuart has performed at London Jazz Festival, Glasgow International Jazz Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, for the BBC & Channel 4.
Stuart studied at RSAMD and RAM where he played alongside artists such as Peter Erskine, Derek Watkins, Mark Nightingale, Eddie Severn, Colin Currie and Ron Goodwin.
Stuart continues to study drumming and music from around the world and his thirst for musical knowledge has so far taken him to Cuba, U.S.A, Canada, and North Africa.
