Minister Rachelle Nichol-Ford is one of the Co-Founding members of the Women of Heritage along with her Mother, Alee Nichol and Grandmother Thelma Williams. She also co-founded the Alpha Christian Academy and served as Assistant Director and Educational Supervisor developing socially responsible leadership in teachers who would nurture children and youth, making sure their needs were being addressed. Rachelle served the community needs and issues with her Dad, Apostle Ralph G. Shammah Nichol. She partnered along side her mother in various community development youth programs.As Co-Founder of the Women of Heritage, Rachelle assisted her mother and made sure that the group implemented innovative strategies and programs to advance their mission of reaching diverse women everywhere. As the 3rd eldest of 8 siblings. Alee and Ralph nurtured their daughter and instilled in her the values of being a virtuous women. Rachelle’s love for Ministry grew as she persevered in her career and educational endeavors. Rachelle received her Masters Degree from University of Phoenix & Almeda University and is currently working on her PhD.Minister Ford is the wife of Vincent E. Ford, mother of 4 beautiful children of Promise. . Rachelle began a long journey of internships in her career. She is a Zeta Chi Rho Soro whose purposes even today are towards education and empowering women with knowledge .In the early 80’s Rachelle matriculated her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts Secretarial Sciences program at Katharine Gibbs Jr. College of Business for Women then continued matriculating a second BS from Caldwell College., a private College for Women in Caldwell, NJ which credits her in International Business, French and Creative arts skills. While there she was a Resident Assistant and Campus Bookstore Manager. She worked on the phones during summer breaks for men and women on the campaigning trail for Mayor of that town for 2 year’s
Raised within culturally diverse communities, Rachelle was raised with a strong awareness of the beauty in the arts, culture, and people. Aware at the time of her messianic Heritage in Christ she began stirring up her gift for the love of truth in Religious studied in Theology. She received her Bachelors in Theology from the Amora Theological Seminary. Rachelle’s Persevering father was born in Newark, NJ into his West Indian family and her Southern Bell mother was born in back dropped country settings of North Carolina to a culturally diverse family of Irish Americans & Africans American Indians. Both parent’s, were well aware of their diverse cultures, their timeless calling as Pastors in a Jewish Synagogue, During the time when Newark was predominately Jewish, Her Christian Missionary Family knew how to teach her to absorb her surroundings, put into words, take pictures and journal her experiences. Rachelle has always done well with that and today instills these values from her family into her children. These experiences instilled in Rachelle a strong appreciation for the timeless traditions and cultural influences of her heritage. Her parents instilled Practical life application, moving forward principles with power to give life to the next generation.Rachelle’s desire to engage in Social and Human Services as a Ministry grew during her studies as She began her secular training as a Marketing Research Analyst and later as a Graphic Artist designing presentations for 700 Consultants then onto the International Management Academy as training Coordinator for Century 21 of the Northeast, located at that time in the World Trade Centers, Tower 1, 91st floor.Through her course work and volunteer experiences and missions, she saw firsthand the health injustices and inadequacies in the secular system. This experience led to champion many charitable causes and become actively involved with many non-profit organizations including walks for autism, Arthritis Foundation data bank supervisor, Youth for Christ, forerunners, Girls Scouts, American Cancer Society, Diabetes, Foundation, Stroke Foundation, Feed the Hungry, 360 degrees Hay, Founded the Handmaidens of Deliverance and the spearheaded under the Dance Ministry the Banner Club for boys. Rachelle organized various community events and programs including summer vacations bible school programs.Rachelle founded the Temple Players Community Theatre while raising funds to gain acceptance in the community and recognition to the former Temple B’Nai Abraham. Her many Jewish friends accepted her plea for help and agreed to help raise the funds along with other outreach ministries at that time. The performances of “A Raisin in the Sun†drew 400 people each night with dinner and a show the community seemed pleased. As her involvement expanded, she shared in spearheading the Thespian Society and the Black History Month programs. Rachelle became more of a driving force behind many of her parentss charity’s projects, from food and clothing drives to music, art and nutrition programs. Rachelle hopes to realize her passionate belief in God and the potential of aging people and children to change their futures and our world will inspire the community and families that still surround the temple today. The Nehemiah Project is a long awaited passion and dream and to see the torch passed onto the next level of dimensions, She eagerly anticipates seeing her mother and grandmothers dreams continue to be fulfilled through her children, sisters, brothers and their seed.Rachelle is a professional singer and recording artist (circa 1988, dec productions, soldier) and has traveled to various countries ministering, teaching and singing. All of her ministries bring together her artistic nature, business savvy, and social responsibility. Rachelle spent most of the her time there next few years interacting and training brokers how to manage their Franchise purchases., Meeting & Training marketing consultants and brokers to reach their plateau as a “Golden Jacket†as they called them. Rachelle Graduated after 2 years from the Manhattan Bible Institute while pursuing her credentials at the DBI, then later onto The Delliverance Theological Institute where she received her Bachelors in Theology/Amora Theological Seminary and received her Bachelors in Theology, She earned her Certificate in Multicultural Education while opening with her Parents the Alpha Christian Academy as Educational Supervisor. She continued to study and matriculate in Early Child, Infant and Toddler Education receiving credits and a Certificate. She became a certified foster parent and her love of her own children and her own led her to become a certified K-12 Certified Substitute Teacher. She is an Alumnus of the University of Phoenix Online and earned a BA in Human Service Management. She earned a MA in Human Service Management from Almeda University in early 2007.Rachelle traveled as a young missionary to various Caribbean Islands, North and East Asia, Greek Islands, Middle Eastern Countries including Hong Kong and Japan. She traveled on missions as a young Evangelist with the Morris Cerullo School of Ministry, Jimmy Swaggart Bible College Missions Team to North and South Asia to issue bibles, sing, witness and educate. She was ordained early on as a young Missionary, Evangelist, then in 1998 as a Minister. She taught her first sermon on the mission field at age 21 in Deliverance Temple, Trinidad, WI. She traveled to PTL and played drums for their women’s conference. She continues her Christian Missions Education with Deliverance and with Faith Fellowship Ministries, International, attending their Pastors and Ministers training conferences each year. She and her husband continue their marital training through the Family Life Marriage Conferences as alumni and certified consultants since 1997.God enhances her life daily as she runs her home office as a career mom and Entrepreneur. Over a 24 year period God has honored her and her husbands faithfulness while working by their father’s side. She is a certified Wedding Consultant and Referral Service. She spends her free time part-time chocolate business “In HIS Favorâ€. Rachelle is an active mom & member of the Sayreville PTA, Ambassador for the American Heart Association, Volunteer Cancer, Stroke and Diabetes Advocate, Mary Kay Rep, “Blessings†Christian Gifts Entrepreneur, football mom, Girl Scout Troop Leader, at home music instructor of clarinet, trumpet, guitar & violin, autobiographer, fashion/hair & makeup design, photo journalist, computer graphic webpage layout / web design, Psalmist, Playwright, Actor, Professional Singer and Recording Artist (“Soldier†circa 1988, DEC, Inc). Her life is an effortless testimony of perseverance as one of the active founding members of the Women of Heritage.
