I am an interesting mixture of a woman, (Puerto Rican, African American, French, Irish and Native American)who loves life. I love to have fun and laugh.
I am grateful to God for the things he has and is still doing in my life. He brings people into my life to uplift and encourage me, to love and care for me. He also allows me to let go of those in my life who are not productive in my growth with him. Sometimes it is a hurtful process, but a much needed one. I thank God for it all.
I can look back over my life and sometimes I relive the hurtful times in my mind, but I now can understand why I went through the things I went through. I can see how God planned for things to happen in my life to prepare me for what he has to come. Never doubt God. I know sometimes it is hard not to, but one day you will be able to look back and say "Wow, Lord, Thank you".
Unfortunately for me, I am single once again. Will I ever get it right??? I'm just waiting for the one God has in store for me....cause the one's I have been dealing with....hmmmm, talk about having some serious "issues". Its almost commical. They say women are the onces with all the "issues". Yes I do have mine but WOW men can be a trip!!!!
UPDATE! Well, I am no longer single..... once again (smile). I am happy but that is all I will say. Time will tell, but so far so good.
GRANDFATHER: The above pictures are of my grandfather Roland LaNier.
He was and still is a famous painter in Germany. He fought in WWII and was at Normandy on D-Day. Being of French/Irish and Native American descent, he always felt like he didnt fit in, so after the war while studying in NYC he received a scholarship to study his passion for art in Paris, France and later settled in Europe where they appreciated him and his art.
To this day they still show his art in galleries. We were supposed to meet for the first time in 2000 but he became ill and passed on in 2001. I have all his letters kept safely away and I continue to receive clippings about him. Some day I plan to go to Germany and witness his legacy in person.
In the mean time this is my tribute to my grandfather, Roland LaNier (1921-2001) Famous Painter & Sculpter. If you would like to see more of his work GOTO: http://www.roland-la-nier.de/ (p.s. its in German)
