If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

About Me

Phil says: "I think I'll believe in Gosh instead of God. If you don't believe in Gosh too, you'll be darned to heck." - -
Should this go in my heroes section?
Phil, The Prince of Insufficient Light, is the ruler of Heck (for sinners whose transgressions aren't serious enough for Hell). Instead of a pitchfork, Phil carries an enormous spoon, and darns people to heck instead of damning them to hell. He pops up about once a year to impose mild sanctions for mild sins. For example, once he punished Dilbert by making him eat lunch with the accountants.
How You Are In Love
You fall in love quickly and easily. And very often.
You tend to give more than take in relationships.
You love your partner unconditionally and don't try to make them change.
You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard. How Are You In Love?

"I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence but it comes from within. It is there all the time." Anna Freud
Poetry for my Italian side
Mentre l'alte promesse a mille a mille
con mentita pietà non m'ingannaro
furon le fiame mie dolci e tranquille,
e 'l dolor e 'l piacer corsero al paro.
Crebbero poi sì calde le faville,
sommerse il poco dolce il molt'amaro,
e sì corse l'infermo mio desio
che la speranza col tardar morio.
Poetry for my Scottish side
Now the summer's in prime
Wi' the flowers richly blooming,
And the wild mountain thyme
A' the moorlands perfuming.
To own dear native scenes
Let us journey together,
Where glad innocence reigns
'Mang the braes o' Balquhither.

My Interests

tempus fugit

Last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.”

I'd like to meet:

I used to think I needed a smart man, not afraid to think unusual thoughts and be unique. A man who is OK with me thinking and being smart too. A man with LARGE appetites that I could feed, a man unafraid of being aggressive in his need for more. One who would go for walks with me, enjoy nature, talk to me about Life and Truth and let me talk too. Not afraid to get dirty and muck about as we explore this wonderful world. Who would work with me to make this place we live in a better place for everyone. But as time goes on, I think I will just remain asexual. At least until I can meet a man to convince me otherwise...

Everyone ought to worship God according to his own inclinations, and not to be constrained by force. -Flavius Josephus (37 AD - 100 AD)

V for Vendetta The movie has quite a bit to say about modern politics. It's been said you can get whatever you want from this movie. What have YOU gotten?

Ah, the Blues Brothers! Not only great music (gotta love the Blues!) but a funny film. How could I resist?

One of my favorite movies of all time. I'm a bit of a "Tiggr" myself, so I empathised with his plight. A tender film, it might even make you cry. Great for Christmas!

Television:

This was such an engrossing series, I not only rented the series and watched it time and again, but bought the companion book. If you are interested in etymology, this is for you!

Almost anything Nova has on is worthwhile.

Animal planet is perhaps junk food, but I really like it! The heartwarming stories of animal rescue are exactly what I love to see.

Books:

Show me the books he loves and I shall know the man far better than through mortal friends.

Beware of the man of one book.
~ Thomas Aquinas ~
Read not to contradict and confute; nor to believe and take for granted;
nor to find talk and discourse; but to weigh and consider.
Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed,
and some few to be chewed and digested:
that is, some books are to be read only in parts,
others to be read, but not curiously, and some few
to be read wholly, and with diligence and attention.
~ Francis Bacon ~
You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them. ~ Ray Bradbury ~
A wonderful thing about a book, in contrast to a computer screen, is that you can take it to bed with you. ~ Daniel J. Boorstin ~
A book is a garden, an orchard, a storehouse, a party,
a company by the way, a counselor, a multitude of counselors.
~ Henry Ward Beecher ~

You scored as Luciano/Crucious

You are Luciano/Crucious, the fourth spawn of Kasimir. You are sensitive and unpredictable and tend to have a strong will but a weak body. You are slow to anger, but if anyone makes you too angry, they're pretty much as good as dead. Good job. You rock.
