Pete Braven or as know to many PB, singer, songwriter, poet, eccentric and altogether slightly strange!
I don't go hassling loads of people to come and visit this page, I just sit and watch that little views counter climb (slowly),.. which means you came here and listened because you wanted to, which is really sweet of yah! Thank you!
This is not some amazing profile written by a media hack, jus' me bangin' on about myself,.. does that make me a nutter? Possibly. I started out writing poems that just happen to fall off the pen in lyrical form quite easily, I added music as soon as I made my first guitar, yes made it,.. cos my Dad woudn't buy me one. It played kinda different but then when I scraped together enough money I blew it on a halfway decent acoustic.
I now have a collection of instruments, guitars (12 & 6), Bass, Keys, sequencers, PA rig, recording setup, all added a wee bit at a time but it's fun. I've played in several bands and been around the block a few times like a musical tart.
So here I am, playing solo unless I happen to find some mates with some free time to lay down the other bits. This means I play to backing tracks a fair bit which is murder if I drop a bum note or miss a beat! I'm told I've got a lot 'tighter' in my style,... or was that just that they didn't get a free round of drinks?
I love using the rig for open mic nights, it kicks me out of whatever rut I've been grooving in and this is why I'm here on Myspace,.. peer pressure!!
Gigs are in the pipeline,.. I'm putting the 'Cloud 10' roadshow back together cos it worked really well last time. Why did I stop doin' it? Oh yeah, the van engine blew itself to kingdom come!! Ok, 'new' van, new people, new places, open mics (like THE STAR Llanelli, every Sunday) and special friendz.
My song "A Soldier" has had this video put together by Kit, which kinda makes an interesting point from one of my fans. Thanks Kit!

Influences: You need a list? Get real,.. I'll be here for months! All kinds of stuff from classical to thrash and everywhere in between, even some of the 'unsigned artists' here! I do browse around a lot, listening to your tracks on MySpace and yes, it does make me come up with new stuff so to all of yah,.. Thanks for the input!
Really it's a matter of "anything that leaves a memory in my head" and that seems to happen a lot in here.

Ah, maybe I should add my kids,.. they have possibly done more to my music than any other living beings! (In the nicest possible way of course,...)
