About Me

I remember climbing a tree when I was younger. It seems a long time ago. The higher I went, the smaller the people looked. There were bark stains and leaves smeared over my jeans, but it didn't matter.I didn't mind. When I reached the top, everything looked different. It was as if the whole world existed from the top of that tree. I could have stayed there a lot longer than I did. Watching the people not watching me, scurrying like rodents on the grass bank below.

A Simple Discharge

In the patient's lounge, I looked through the 6th floor window. I could see the city skyline, the Gherkin, St. Paul's and the London Eye. If I stared long enough, I could see the cabins and spools ro...

Brighton Pier

On Brighton beach, late Summer one year, I played with the pebbles as my mother looked on. They felt smooth and shiny in my hands, and I liked the sharp edges in particular.   Later that day, sh...
