Dee Dee Murray has over 20 years of professional experience in the music industry. Starting in radio at WEAS in Savannah, Georgia, Dee Dee worked as the news director and weekend radio personality. She continued her radio experience at WVEE (V-103) in Atlanta working for several years in Programming and Promotions. Her career path lead her to Capitol Records promoting records and developing national radio promotional tours and contests for artist such as MC Hammer, Freddie Jackson and The Gap Band. After Captiol dissolved its “Black Music Division†in the early ‘90’s, Dee Dee began working with the production team, Organized Noize assisting in the development of its artist roster, which includes Outkast, Goodie Mob, Witchdoctor, Backbone and Cool Breeze - the Dungeon Family. Ms. Murray is the President of Murray Media Music Corp., which offers professional executive and administrative support services to producers, songwriters and independent record labels. Murray Media Music clients include Organized Noize, Carl Mo, George Tisdale, The RaeTwins, Will Power and Khujo Goodie. In September 2006, Dee Dee joined Big Boi's label, Purple Ribbon Records as the General Manager.Dee Dee Murray is a 2nd term Governor and Trustee for The Atlanta Chapter of The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, on the Board of Directors for The Lake Oconee Jazz and Blues Festival, a member of the 2005 Steering Committee for the City of Atlanta Cultural Affairs Community Cultural Planning, is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of The University of Georgia Music Business Program and a member of the Governors Music Industry Roundtable Advisory Board for the State of Georgia.
