Gli Still Maiden nascono nell'Ottobre del 2006 come laboratorio in una scuola di musica quasi prettamente jazz, il Saint Louis College Of Music di Roma, grazie soprattutto a Giacomo Anselmi, insegnante di chitarra, a cui va uno speciale ringraziamento. Nel giro di alcuni mesi si instaura tra i componenti un grande feeling e da qui la decisione di portare questo progetto fuori dalle mura scolastiche. La formazione è composta da Lisa Preziuso alla voce, Giovanni Iurisci, Alberto Bonanni e Filippo Faustini alle chitarre, Alessandro De Panfilis al basso e Aurora Di Rocco alla batteria. Il nome è un gioco di parole che da una parte ironizza sulla gran quantità di cover band Iron Maiden in circolazione e dall'altra richiama la parola Steel (letteralmente Acciaio), a voler inneggiare solennemente al Metal.
Nel Febbraio del 2008 Aurora, Giovanni e Alberto lasciano la band per questioni personali, in sostituzione dei due chitarristi entra ufficialmente nella band Nicola Dema (che aveva già sostituito Giovanni in uno degli show della band.
Sono attualmente alla ricerca di un batterista.
ENGLISH VESION Still Maiden were born in October 2007 as a music laboratory in a almost exclusively jazz music school, Saint Louis college Of Music in Rome, above all thanks to Giacomo Anselmi, rock guitar teacher, who goes a special thank. In some months a great feeling estabilished between the members of this lab, and so the decision to take this project out of the school too. The line-up is: Lisa Preziuso (vocals), Giovanni Iurisci, Alberto Bonanni and Filippo Faustini (guitars), Alessandro De Panfilis (bass), Aurora Di Rocco (drums). The name is a words game which, on one side, plays on the fact that there are a lot of Iron Maiden cover band around, on the other side, it remembers the word "steel", just as solemnly singing the praises of Heavy Metal!
In february 2008 Aurora, Giovanni and Alberto leave the band, and come in Nicola Dema (guitars) (who already replaced Giovanni in one of the band shows).
Now the band is searching for a drummer.
