Giving honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ who is the giver of every good and perfect gift, the Oasis of Jazz provides sounds that soothe your soul and groove your spirit!
We are on a mission to provide an acoustic environment that soothes and ministers to the soul and spirit through relaxing and uplifting versions of your favorite traditional and contemporary gospel songs, Smooth Jazz, and renditions of clean and positive R&B and “Old School” jams by the greats. We have also written several original pieces that will keep your spirit moving and uplifted.
The band was founded in March 2006 and is on the move to becoming one of the most recognized and enjoyed bands in Hampton Roads and on the gospel and jazz circuit. Oasis of Jazz is proud to be the official Gospel Jazz band for Gospel Artist Hope Askew!
Our influences range from such greats as Hope Askew, James Hall, Ben Tankard, Judith McAllister, Israel & New Breed, Stevie Wonder, Mike Phillips, Boney James, and the Fuzz Band…who are definitely one of our mentors in the business!
