Born April 30th in the caribbean on an island called St. Lucia with a population of about 175,000
Given the name Germaine Gajadhar.
He lived with his grandparents who settled from India a number of years ago
until he was eleven years old.
Only hearing Country & Western, Reggae, Calipso and 80's rock R&B,
Lil Indian was new to rap music when he moved to Brooklyn in New York City in 1987.
He had no choice but to adjust to the fast life of the city
leaving one jungle to another
and to learn a different way of survival which is a 24HR mental state.
He heard rap music for the first time
and fell inlove with it, (Quote)
it was like releasing whats inside of you to the World.
Writing became a stress release for him
and he started putting it to music. The name Little Indian came from friends calling him Indian as a nickname. Little Indian is actually mixed with black and indian ( mother is indian-father is black )
In 1996 he released a single/video
produced by Howie Tee on the label Premeditated/Warner Bros. Records,
the video which you can see below.
Shortly after Lil Indian decided to leave the industry
because of its politics and lack of knowledge in business.
Lil Indian is also featured on reggae artist's Shawnie Ranks
hit Remix "Boomin Body" in 1995,
Lil Indian have toured with the R&B group "Intro" R.I.P. Kenny Green,
Dante Thomas and Reggae artists like Little Vicious and Doug E. Fresh.
He opened shows for Immature, Monica, Usher,
Wu-Tang, and many more...
