About Me
Ronnie Biggs has been involved with sound systems and music production for over 20 years.
He is well known in various towns and cities all over the U.K. and has lived in West London all his life.
He is a versatile selector that can play in a variety of different music scenes such as Ragga, RnB, Revival, Rare Groove, Soul, Garage and Jungle.
He was recruited by Sovereign roadshow via Crucial Robbie in the late 90’s.
Ronnie is also a former PR for Simba Records and a former assistant roadie for reggae group Aswad.
Ronnie was responsible for producing the original single “New Talk†by Sweetie Irie and Joe 90 – this was later released by Aswad and went to No 1 in the reggae charts in 1989.
In the 90’s he also produced “Hard Core Loving†featuring Crucial Robbie and Sovereign – this also went to No 1 in all pirate radio stations across London.
The second single featuring Crucial Robbie “Proud to be Black part 3†also made it into the reggae charts.
During the 90’s he also formed a record label “Ferocious Records†alongside Crucial Robbie.
To date he has won the Home Counties Revival Cup in 94, 96, 99 and 2000.
He created history in the home counties by being the first selector to win 4 revival cups with 3 different sound systems – King Topian, Quaker Tone and Sovereign Roadshow alongside Crucial Robbie.
Also won the Home Counties Winner Takes All Cup with Sovereign in 2005 and is still reigning champion to date.
Ronnie has also been involved with Live show promotions for artists such as Sweetie Irie and General Levy in Huddersfield, and also Nasty Love sound also in Huddersfield.
Also been involved with the promotion of comedy show featuring Geoff Schuman and other leading comedians.Ronnie would like to thank all the DJ’s, Sound systems, artists and ravers who have been supporting him over the years (too many to mention)
