Enrique Castro

Enrique Castro - percussion (México 1977) At the age of 7 started playing piano in Mexico his homeland and the drums at 14. In 2000 he obtained the B.A. in Music with specialization in percussion performance from Universidad de las Americas Puebla (Mexico). In 2004 received the Fulbright Scholarship to study a MA in Percussion and Composition at New York University and graduated in 2006. In January of 2008 he arrived to Berlin in order to look for new professional opportunities. He is a percussionist and play the marimba, drumset, and different types of drums from around the world. He really believes in collaborating with different artists to combine music and dance, film, photography, and any other artform. Following this goal has been collaborating as a composer with Rauxa Productions, a production company with fresh ideas based in Mexico City. It is very important to him to establish interactions in different levels with distinct musicians and artists in general.
