You Are Guinness
You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.
What's Your Beer Personality?

Music:
Ok, right off the bat let me say that I have an obscenely HUGE and diverse music collection. My musical tastes run all over the board so this might scare you a bit--classical, jazz, big band, folks like: Bach, Smetana, Verdi, Wagner, Holst, Bennie Goodman, Gene Krupa, Glenn Miller, Slim Gaillard, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, and Cab Calloway. I also dig "real" country (pre-1980) and bluegrass-- Hank Williams, Tex Ritter, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens, Grandpa Jones, Kenny Baker, Bill Monroe, and Doc Watson. Don't forget "old school" 60's-70's R&B soul music like: James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett 5th Dimension, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Isley Brothers, and so on. On top of that, there's my love for traditional folk music-- Celtic, Scandanavian, zydeco, blues, etc. I also have a weakness for late 60's-early 70's bubblegum and 70's punk. "Classic" rock is cool too, but my biggest passions are probably 50's & 60's rockabilly & rock 'n' roll, surf instrumentals, and 60's garage band stuff. Bands & artists? Of course I like the big names-- Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, etc. But folks like: Link Wray, Ronnie Dawson, Charlie Feathers, Janis Martin, Wanda Jackson and Eddie Cochran also rank high with me. Add in groups like: The Chantays, The Ventures, The Marketts, Dick Dale, and The Challengers and yer gettin' warm. How can I forget: Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Question Mark and the Mysterians, 13th Floor Elevators, The Downliner Sect, The Standells, and Charlie Ryan? Let's see, then there's the modern bands, Man or Astroman?, The Cramps, Southern Culture on the Skids, The Ramones, Misfits, Big Sandy & the Fly-rite Boys, Marti Brom, Kim Lenz, man I could drop names all day. Other miscellaneous musical favorites in no particular order: Tannahill Weavers, Garmana, Silly Wizard, Altan, Hedningarna, Rosenberg 7, Wimme, Wolfstone, Tonio K, Thin Lizzy, The Who, Randy Newman, Tom Jone, Dusty Springfield, Al Stewart, Tom Waits, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, 10cc, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, White Stripes, Rob Zombie, Fluid Ounces.....Damn, this is pointless, I guess you get the picture....

.... Hell, I gotta stop here, I haven't even gotten to the TV section yet!!
Television:
Why watch TV? Everything good is coming out on DVD anyway......If they would only put shows like The Banana Splits, The Herculoids, Nightflight, and The Halloween Tree out on DVD, then everything would be cool....(sigh)
I mean, what kind of cruel world is this where "Full House" is available on DVD but "The Herculoids" ISN'T???????
Oh Yeah, and one more thing, If you're gonna waste your time watching that so-called "REALITY" TV crap, why not just sit here and watch an old TV Test Pattern:
It's just as predictable, and twice as exciting......SAFE TV-viewing for the masses!
Books:
OK, so by now you've figured out that I'm a real nerd...but hey, I've been reading since the age of five, so I'm a well-read nerd! So my reading preferences may or may not surprise you. I'm one of those guys who can hang out in a bookstore for hours!
Fiction: I'm pretty selective here, but some of my favorite authors are:
*Bernard Cornwell
*George MacDonald Fraser (The Flashman series!)
*Ray Bradbury
*Robert Heinlein
*Albert Camus
*Robert Burns
*Edgar Allan Poe
*M.R. James
*H.P. Lovecraft
*Nigel Tranter
*Richard Matheson
*Herman Wouk
*William Faulkner
*John Steinbeck
*Alistair MacLean.
Non-Fiction: I'm all over the board in this category, I love history books of most any kind, books on most pop culture subjects including movies & music, architecture, books on the history, care & feeding of musical instruments.
Biographies: Not really into biographies as a rule, unless they pertain to another subject in which I am interested.
Props go to my parents, Dick & Jane, The Electric Company, Sesame Street and Schoolhouse Rock for fostering my thirst for knowledge!
Heroes:
HEROES??? Hell is for Heroes......
