About Me

Born and raised in Northern California, Ryk Weston was the Editor for THE SERMON (an underground metal fanzine running from '91-'00) and PENTAGORE.COM ('00-'03), and now writes for ULTIMATE GUITAR (www.ultimate-guitar.com) and also NON-ZINE (www.nonzine.com). Pentagore Webzine was created a few years back to showcase the interviews Ryk has done. Ryk also served as the PR & Booking Manager for Studio 360 in Norman, Oklahoma, an underground music venue. His past musical endeavors include ROTTING BEEF CARCASSES, INFERI DECORUM, as well as THE KITTY LITTER STAMPEDE. Ryk also served in the U.S. Army for nearly 3 years in Ft. Drum, NY and is the creator of the soon to be released children's book LIL' DINO.

Music, cryptozoology, and copious amounts of Coast To Coast AM listenings.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone I would have like to met is dead. So sad. BUT, I'd definitely drink a beer with Ricky Hatton, Eric Roberts, Andrew "Dice" Clay, and Esai Morales.

Music:

Death metal, black metal, grindcore, noise, ragtime, classic rock, old country, bluegrass, folk, and pretty much anything I find to be original. It's better to ask me what I'm NOT into.

Movies:

North American horror films between '78 and '87, comedies within reason, slapstick, exploitation, and plenty of documentaries.

Television:

Mr. Show, Reno 911, Kids In The Hall, The Larry Sanders Show, MST3000, Highway To Heaven, Twilight Zone, South Park, old 70's sitcoms like Love American Style, and if you lived in the Bay Area back in the 70's, you might remember Creature Feature with Bob Wilkins.

Books:
