Hey Frank, do you want me to pour the beer?...

About Me

NAMMS are not pinin'! NAMMS have passed on! NAMMS are no more! NAMMS have ceased to be! NAMMS have expired and gone to meet their maker! NAMMS are a stiff! Bereft of life, NAMMS rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed NAMMS to the perch they'd be pushing up the daisies! NAMMS metabolic processes are now 'istory! NAMMS are off the twig! NAMMS have kicked the bucket, NAMMS have shuffled off their mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible! NAMMS IS AN EX-BAND! (Or are they?...)
GREETINGS to all who have happened by this site. We are but a small speck on the ass of rock n roll. Hopefully at some point down the line, we have influenced you, or you can relate to a similar influence in your own life, or to take a brief step back and/or forward in time with. In retrospect, everything has been done in music, and we were by no means innovators or originators, but merely a vehicle of our mutual influences and styles to create a viable aural option to the generic mass stimulation available at the time. We shopped our recorded thoughts and sounds, were heard, and were turned down by the best of labels at the time. Many extremely similar creative units were signed within a few years after our demise and went on to great success. Call it timing or location, it is a non issue at this point. We had a great time with it, and those times will not be traded for anything. Many great personal relationships were sacrificed ultimately for the sake of our personal obsession with creating and pursuing our musical dreams. Those relationships are now absent, and indeed sorely missed in the name of creativity. We bear those self imposed burdons and our seemingly minute triumphs all in the same light, and have moved on. Luckily, we are all still here to remember the times, as many personal friends were caught up in the moment and didn't make it to the present. For that, and their influence, we salute you! May our site and your visitation continue and carry on the dream of personal creativity and music in their honor.

Well, here we are many years later. We're all still here (thank God!) and we are all still friends. A lot of water under the bridge since then, but we will never forget those days. We worked hard, had a lot of fun, wrote some interesting music (we hope) and made a lot of friends who we will never forget. We always tried not to follow trends and to play what we felt. We made a lot of mistakes, did some things right, and no matter what happens we will always be brothers. What the hell were Mammy Namms? Mammy Namms were a band!

"Natasha Schneider, musician extraordinaire, former actress, singer of the ground-breaking band Eleven, and one-time Queens Of The Stone Age keyboard player, died today at 11:11am of cancer. She was a brilliant, beautiful, and ballsy woman who will be missed deeply by all those who knew her. Send your loving thoughts her way in the universe."
