YOU PLAY DEAD WHEN I SAY BANG!

About Me

Fling Hammer was formed in Hattiesburg, MS in 1989 from the dregs of punk icons BAD BONGOS (Morris Mitchell and Corey Ray) and alt-progressive kings BEAGLE VOYAGE (Wilbur Justin Martin). Drummer Matt Brennan's resume could only boast some classic rock cover bands. Oh well. 18 years later we keep the garage roots but knock the glitzier varnish off some old FH material, bringing some gritty, riff-oriented new material to the table. Matt Pleasant (Still Stanley) picked up the bass for us in 2004 and it's been great new chemistry.Currently writing more new material for a planned self-release. For more information, please contact the band at [email protected] Hammer is:Corey Ray - Vocals, Morris Mitchell - Guitar, Matt Pleasant - Bass, Matt Brennan - DrumsI edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Morris had a neat idea to try and list the cities we played in... I admit that the FH cities/clubs and the ones I played with in Blue Mountain are muddled, but here's what we've come up with so far, and we could use some input/confirmation (OH, and can someone tell me how to make this look more like a list and less like a paragraph?):MS: Jackson, Hattiesburg, Oxford, Starkville, Tupelo (did we never play on the coast?)...LA: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Ruston, Monroe...AL: Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Mobile, Auburn, Muscle Shoals (???)...GA: Atlanta, Athens, Augusta Svannah (???)FL: Pensacola, Tallahassee, Tampa, Gainesville, Orlando, Jacksonville...SC: Charleston, Columbia, Myrtle Beach (???)...NC: Charlotte, Nags Head, Wilmington, Raliegh/Durham, Chapel Hill, Boone, Asheville (???)...VA: Virginia Beach (???), Richmond (???)...TN: Memphis, Nashville, Murfreesboro, Johnson City, Knoxville, Chattanooga (???)...KY: Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green (Picassos)...AR: Little Rock (???)...Next will be a listing of the clubs to go along with the cities... Fun stuff.
Sounds Like: A train wreck... but in a good way.
