I recently had some news that basically turned my life upside down. I found out that my 5 year old nephew Ryan has Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems of only 30,000 people in the United States.
As I am crushed at this news, I am also ready to be the best Uncle Ryan could ever have! I will do what ever it takes to make sure he gets all that he needs and to help raise awareness and money to find a cure for CF. Sometimes we all get a bomb dropped in our laps....just another test of character in my opinion....so I will tuck the bomb under my arm and run with it!
So my Girl of the Day page is now about raising CF awareness and money to find a cure!
Fundraising is more important than ever these days and in just the last five years the median age for survival has risen from 32 years to 36.5 years, a fantastic achievement!

My Interests

I have all kinds of interests...love to travel, Italy is my favorite, enjoying reading every night about the people who shaped the world we live in today and enjoy a good laugh all the time. I like relaxing my family and friends and especially spoiling my nieces and nephews. I am the fabulous Uncle all kids wish they had!!!
