He redubbed the voiceovers for 4 parody episodes of the classic G1 Transformers cartoon. The voiceovers are EXCELLENT redubs, especially Shockwave, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ironhide, and Starscream. Dr Smoov also redid Starscream's voice and it sounds almost exactly like the late Chris Latta. Chris Latta also did the voice over for Cobra Commander, Wheeljack, Sparkplug, Reflector, and Ratchet too. Rest in Peace Chris Latta, you will always be remembered. Eventually he joined the Lin Kuei. He was born with the natural power to create smoke, even out of thin air, which is why the Lin Kuei gave him his name. Eventually the Lin Kuei Grandmaster wanted to automate his warriors, seeing as how machines could be much more effective in battle than humans. Smoke and Sub-Zero witnessed the cybernetic transformation of Cyrax and Sektor and planned to escape the Lin Kuei Clan before they could be turned into machines. Smoke however was captured undergoing gruesome surgery to become the third Cyberninja, his human memory wiped away, he was nothing more than a cold hearted machine with a program, to kill his former friend Sub-Zero. He was rumored to be very close to Jade. The two were often spotted together in the Living Forest. Other rumors suggest the two worked together, and had feelings for each other. Others suggest, however, they didnt know each other at all and this is just wild speculation. No one will know the truth however, Smoke was turned into a cybernetic nightmare, and Jade was killed by Shao Kahn at the end of the Mortal Kombat 3 tournament. =========================================================== Eventually Smoke was able to track down many things from his past, especially how his family was killed. He discovered that his family was of the Shirai-Ryu clan, a rival Ninja clan of the Lin Kuei. Their death was no accident. It was a hit ordered by the Lin Kuei themselves. most of this image came in flashbacks, when Smoke injected himself with Sodium Pentothol. Smoke had witnessed the slaughter of his own family at the age of 4. Smoke also discovers he has a few surviving family members, one of them, his Brother, Hanzo Hashashi, who also lives the same life as he does, as an assassin. Most people know Hanzo Hashashi by his nickname, Scorpion. Smoke was kidnapped by the Lin Kuei, while Scorpion was left there, amongst the bloody remains of his family. Eventually Scorpion too was killed by the elder Sub-Zero, 20 years later, while trying to obtain the Elemental Map from the Shaolin Temple in China. Unable to handle the flood of violent images that had risen to the surface, the fact that the only family member to survive the Lin Kuei Atrocity, had also been terminated. Smoke was unaware that his brother lives, now as a spawn of Hell itself. Some sources say Smoke exiled himself far away from his home, to the United States. There he continues to live, while also plotting revenge on those who killed his family, and turned him into this metalic monster, The Lin Kuei Clan. However he cannot kill his friend, the new Lin Kuei Grandmaster, Sub-Zero.Now that he has left the Lin Kuei, Smoke is a free agent. He spends his spare time hunting other killers down. He has taken many of his fellow assassins to their grave at one time or another. Despite the fact that Smoke has put many evil people out of their misery, and takes care not to harm the innocent. Many see him as a threat, a malfunctioning Cyborg Hell-bent on destruction. This "evil persona" is given further credence by his work in the following groups: The Brotherhood of Nod, The Decepticons, Cobra, The GLA, Venom, The Lin Kuei, and many others, he is rumored to even be involved in the US Government, as well as the other governments all over the world. Though any documents on this have long been destroyed. Much of Smoke's past is as cloudy as the smoke that cloaks him. =========================================================== Strengths: --- Smoke Is Much faster than Scorpion in Mk2. Cybernetic Smoke is many times more powerful than his human form. Having Sektor's teleport punch, his own personal cloaking device, and his original spear now mounted inside his chest compartment. Inside his chassis is a nuclear fusion core, in dire circumstances, Smoke could detonate this creating a thermonuclear explosion with enough yield equal to a small star going supernova, he can also merely drop a single grenade down an opponents throat to kill them. =========================================================== Weaknesses: --- Treat him Like every other "Ninja" in Mortal Kombat when you fight him, and hope for the best. Smoke might be fast, but the CPU opponent isnt too bright, often jumping forward when you jump back, allowing it to be set up with a juggle combo, or a jumping kick. Smoke's Spear, like Scorpion's can be EASILY predicted if done at the wrong moment, or missed/blocked, thus leaving him open with his arm extended like an idiot for about 2 seconds. His teleport Punch can also be blocked, allowing him to be easily uppercutted. Cybernetic Smoke in MK3 shares many of these same weaknesses. Sub-Zero, Jax, Shang Tsung, Kabal, and Sektor players can give him hell. =========================================================== Myspace Graphics
