It's José M. Cardona, NOT Master of Ceremonies. There are hundreds to probably thousands of José M. Cardona's but I'm the first and as of current the only 'José M.C'.Now, although my lyrics do have some qualities of the original meaning of "MC" I am not of the current 'evolutionary' change of the Hip Hop culture. And to set the record straight, just because an artist is dubbed or dubs him/herself an "MC" does not mean it's all about Hip Hop, or Rap, or whatever/however you understand music by category. A progression into broadening the horizons lead to the 'evolution' of a dynamic structure within the music itself. Acoustic manipulation of the notes comprises of many influences and including Puerto Rican culture. As human beings, our likes or dislikes for certain types of music eventually 'evolves' through the many years we live to finally realize that there's more to life than what we see or hear. (Oh, and I didn't forget Outbreak, my second band!) In 1995, Ft. Myers, FLA, the band, Fungool, (members; Justin Long, drummer. Rob Renz, lead guitarist. Laszlo Musho, second guitarist and back up vocals. Tammy, bassit and back up vocals. José M.C., lead vocalist) with it's alternative/punkrock 'flair' took off in a direction that most local bands would have liked to attain. The original name for a little while was: 'Fungoo', and then the 'L' was added at the end of the name just to create interest for the band. [First let me point out that you shouldn't take the name too seriously. The name; "Fungool", as the band, was not a name to be taken as an original meaning of the correct meaning of: "fangul", short for italian; "va faire in culo" go screw yourself in the ass or something very close; go screw yourself; 'va fangul'! (Ha, ha, ha. That's too funny.)] All in all, to be more precise with the meaning of the band name: "Fungool" - it is an alternative punk rock 'thang', if you don't understand. It was left open to interpretation, hence, to create interest. Fungool took the crowd by storm and the following fans were tremendous. Later, through the years, the band fell apart as a result of personal situations and the changing of the existing scene as time went on. José M.C. now shares with everyone, the 'evolution' and the new creation of the alternative Punk Rock Fusion of "Dynamic Acoustic."
