BIOGRAPHYAverno, as a band project, begins around 1988, composed by friends rather than musicians - Gustavo Herlein (vocals - bass and lyrics) - Jorge "Chikill" Gallego (guitar) - Darío "Piti" Pellegrini (Drums) - were the first Death Metal group in Bahia Blanca (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Very few were the witnesses of the rehearsals, some obstacles came in their way and at last the line-up becomes established and they have their live debut (13-11-93) playing for 500 peolple, along with local band Acido, Aspeed (Punta Alta) and Cancerbero (La Plata). The band was formed at that time by Gustavo Herlein (Vocals/Lyrics), Diego "El mama" Fernendez (guitar), Marcos Gonzales (Guitar), Victor Canale (bass) and Pablo "El Puma" Rodriguez (drums). The band suffers from a change after their debut, replacing Diego Fernandez with Mariano Natali on the six-strings. And on April the 2nd of 1994 they play with the legendary metal band Nepal, Aspeed and Acido. After lots of gigs, the band falls apart, leaving Gustavo Herlein alone on the way... In a considerable period of time, after contacting Hector Conca (Now in Alegory), Sebastian Cascio (drums), Cristian Cano (guitars), and Alejandro Gorla (guitars) are recluted. This last member could not continue due to personal issues, and Tito Luini takes his place. With this line-up they support the Roadrunner's Escabios (Buenos Aires) and Craneo (Buenos Aires) in the "Empleados de Comercio" Stadium of Bahia Blanca in front of 500 people. They acomplish their sound, and they show it around the country. In 1996 Averno, is invited to participate in the Metal Rock Festifal, supporting Logos, Horcas, Rata Blanca and Vibrion, with the following line-up: Gustavo Herlein, Sebastian Cascio, Cristian Cano, Tito Luini and Martin Quiyotay (bass, now in Eidylion)... After years of performing with these musicians, tha band takes a break... Finally returning in 2006 playing live with Lord Divine (Rosario - Santa Fe) and Kybalion (Lanus - Buenos Aires), among other bands, in Bahia Blanca. This last stage of Averno was made up by Cristian Cano, Gustavo Herlein and Sebastián Cascio with Leandro Espindola (guitar) and Santiago Osnaghi (bass), wishing to leave a mark of a wish upon time. *These last years, the band records an Ep, that is in process of seing light of day through some extreme metal label. Crisitan Cano is recording in his home studio his first individual project . www.cristiancano.ta.st . In 2007 Diego Fernandez (guitars) & Victor Canale (drums) ex-members re-join Averno for "Of the Winters" 2007 Ep live performance !. Pocos fueron los testigos de los ensayos, vinieron tiempos de obstáculos y recién en 1993 y trás algunos cambios, la formación se consolida y se produce el debút (13-11-93) tocando para 500 personas junto a los locales de Acido ,Aspeed (Punta Alta) y Cancerbero (La Plata) La banda constituida en ese ciclo fue por Gustavo Herlein (voz y lírica) - Diego "el mama" (guitarra) - Marcos González (Guitarra) - Víctor Canale (bajo) y Pablo "el puma" Rodríguez (batería). La banda sufre un cambio después de su debút reemplazando a Diego Fernández, en las seis cuerdas se establece Mariano Natali tocando el 2 de abril de 1994 junto a la legendaria banda metalera Nepal, junto a Aspeed y Acido. Tras un raid de recitales la banda se separa, quedando Gustavo Herlein en camino ... Luego de un tiempo, tras conectarse con Héctor Conca (Actual Alegory) y consiguen reclutar a la formación a Sebastián Cascio (batería), Cristian Cano (guitarra) y Alejandro Gorla (guitarra). Este último no pudo acoplarse a la banda por problemas personales estableciéndose Tito Luini. Esta formación toca como soporte de los Roadrunner Escabios (Buenos Aires) y Craneo (Buenos Aires) en el estadio Empleados de Comercio de Bahía Blanca para 500 personas. Con esta formación Averno logra consolidar su sonido.. demostrándolo en varios lugares del pais. En 1996 Averno es invitado a participar en el Metal Rock Festival compartiendo escenario con Logos, Horcas, Rata Blanca y Vibrión .. con la siguiente formación.. Gustavo Herlein, Sebastián Cascio, Cristian Cano, Tito Luini y Martín Quiyotay (actual Eidylion).. Tras tocar varios años con esta formación.. la banda se toma un receso... volviendo en el 2006 junto a Lord Divine (Rosario - Santa Fe) y Kybalión (Lanus - Buenos Aires) en Bahia Blanca... Esta última etapa de Averno la conforman Cristian Cano, Gustavo Herlein y Sebastián Cascio con Leandro Espindola (guitarra) y Santiago Osnaghi (bajo) deseando así plasmar en el tiempo un deseo. *En la actualidad la banda deja plasmado un Ep, el cual se encuentra en proceso de Ver la luz a través de alguna label extrema. Cristian Cano se encuentra grabando en Home Studio su primer Proyecto individual – www.cristiancano.ya.st . Averno reclutó en este 2007 a Diego Fernandez (guitarra) & Victor Canale (bateria) para realizar las presentaciones en vivo de este ultimo Ep "Of the Winters". En un corto plazo Cristian Cano, guitarra, decide vivir en europa, precisamente, España, en donde Sus anhelos siempre han estado.
