Thank you so much for checking out the Beaty Myspace Page! This is a page set up to let everyone know of the all the musical extravaganzas the Beaty Brothers partake in. The Beaty's are activist/musicians originally from Texas, John is a saxophonist, Joe is a Trombonist. The Beatys have been living in NYC for 6 years. John and Joe can be seen often playing around the NYC area and the world. They both hold Masters Degrees from NYU (where they were on faculty), bachelors degrees from New School University, and high school diploma's from Interlochen Arts Academy. Since moving to New York they have played everywhere from Smalls to Carnegie Hall to Madison Square Garden and they have been very fortunate to play with many people ranging from Joe Lovano,Jean-Michel Pilc, Ari Hoenig, Jason Lindner, Junior Mance, Reggie Workman, Chris Potter, Kenny Werner, Richard Bona, and many others. We really hate name dropping, that is just to give you an idea of what we do. So please if you want to have a laugh, message John, he is funny sometimes, other times he goes too far.
