I haven't updated this section in like a year. Wow. I watched Across the Universe with Brit and Kara last weekend and it was simply amazing. It surprised me how much I liked it. The character Sadie is an aging singer(if you haven't seen it) very Janis Joplinesque, played by the amazing Dana Fuchs, who is currently my profile artist (who knows how long that'll stay...you know me!) Ha! But she ROCKS! You should join her friends list. So there.
Random things about me..."Ganker" is my new favorite word. I believe it refers to a cross between a skank & a gangster. And Soul Train;it's the hippenest trip in America. I wanted to write a sort of disclaimer/explanantion on here re: my religious views. I think that some Christians might accuse me of being way too lax or worldly, and I never mean to offend anyone. But I don't think there was very much religious about Jesus at all. He was always right in the thick of things when there was a party going on, and it seems like everyday His main message to me is, "Wendy why are you worrying so much? That's what I want you to stop doing." If I really believe that He loves me, then I won't worry right? But the world is pretty screwed up, and most of all I believe that He understands.

My Interests

Guitar, music in general; North Carolina State University Wolfpack(Go State!)Paris,the Eiffel Tower, Scottish clans, history of Ireland and Scotland, Cherokee Indians,my family. What do I say here about God? Why am I asking you? He is only the reason for every breath...the One I owe my everything to, and the One that I wouldn't make it through one day without.

I'd like to meet:

Lincoln Brewster, Nancy Wilson, Jimmy Page, Bon Scott and I'll have to think of some more. I have to think of people that I wouldn't absolutely freak if I met...and I think I'd freak if I met Eric Clapton.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~Brit's friend Matt Yow ( and my myspace friend eventhough he won't ever comment me back lol) asked her what I sounded like (singing/guitar). She told him I was the female Sufjan. He thought that was awesome. So I'm cool cause Matt & Brit think so... =D *** I think it was the colored wings ***

Music:

I like a really wide array of music...most often rock,but sometimes classical,some oldies(rarely country unless it's old country that reminds me of my parents and grandparents),some hits from various eras, some bluegrass, the Psalters and even "Mouth like a Magazine" by Showbread.

Movies:

Too many to list.

Television:

Used mostly for dvd viewing,to channel surf or try to find a decent movie like Bandits w/Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton.

Books:

In particular, the Psalms. I loved the sequel to Gone With the Wind, Scarlett. I love George MacDonald who was a mentor to CS Lewis. In particular his book The Highlander's Last Song had a huge impact on me. Captivating and Wild at Heart are highly recommended if you've not read them yet. I also used to enjoy Barbara Cartland novels. They are historically very accurate. And she was an aunt of Princess Diana though she really lived in another time.

Heroes:

Jesus, Mark, my Daddy...he was a POW in Korea, my Mom...she's a really strong,succesful woman; my sisters; believers who stand strong in the face of torture &other persecution especially in China and elsewhere. Many are featured in Voice of the Martyrs. It's unbelievable what they go through and yet they stay strong and loving and forgiving. Rich Girl (Gwen Stefani feat. Eve)
