DJs are the bestest in crew, cuz they can make or break a party...turn a crap dance floor into something crazy and in general are much more humble that the holy MC...and that is just nice to deal with. fav club DJs: Bam, Riz, Randy Schlager, Queen Lucky, Donald Glaude, Supreme and Miss Funk. fav mix tape DJs: Risk One, Luvva J and Core DJs (B-Mello, Girl 6 and Supa Sam). some of my fav music comes from: Wu (especially Ghost and Gza) ABBA, 2 Mex, Moka, Non-Phixion, T.C. IZLAM, DJ Godfather, Princetafari, Disco D, Frankie Bones, NAHA, Rahzel and DJ JS-1, Bootsy Collins, Public Enemy, N.W.A. (and off-shoots), Scratchmaster Joe, Twista, Stevie Wonder, Hill B, Marvin Gaye, Wojack, DJ Funkdaddy, DJ Rocphella, Big Mae-Bell, D. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is probably my favorite movie ever. i have a thing for musicals and cartoons; Do the Right Thing, Hairspray, The Lion King, Grease 1 and 2, Xanadu, Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, School Daze, Moulin Rouge, Little Shop of Horrors, The Little Mermaid stuff like that.
of course, Coolout Television , Hip Hop 101 are two favs. ummm..also, Spongebob Squarepants, Flavor of Love, Will & Grace, Hell's Kitchen, The Girl's Next Door, House.
voracious book reader, typically reading 3-4 at a time. mostly i love biographies (mostly). however, Robbin's Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and Jitterbug Perfume are excellent fiction. just finished Down and Out in Paris and London by Orson Wells, VERY interesting view of poverty/homelessness in the 30's. Oh. one more fav author... Randy Sue Coburn. her new one -Owl Island- takes place on a fictitional island in the Pacific Northwest.
