About Me

But, when he was a wolf, the man in him lay in ambush, ever on the watch to interfere and condemn, while at those times that he was a man the wolf did just the same...For all that got to love him saw always only the one side of him. Many loved him as a refined and clever and interesting man, and were horrified and disappointed when they had come upon the wolf in him.He wished, as every sentient being does, to be loved as a whole and therefore it was just with those whose love he most valued that he could least of all conceal and belie the wolf. There were those, however, who loved precisely the wolf in him, the free, the savage, the untamable, the dangerous and strong, and these found it peculiarly disappointing and deplorable when suddenly the wild and wicked wolf was also a man, and had hankerings for goodness and refinement, and wanted to hear Mozart, to read poetry and to cherish human ideals.Usually these were the most disappointed and angry of all; and so it was that the Steppenwolf brought his own dual and divided nature into the destinies of others besides himself whenever he came into contact with them.-Herman Hessebody { background: url("http://www.viceland.com/int/v14n7/htdocs/mcgin/5_large. jpg") no-repeat fixed center; }

My Interests

People, fun, simply enjoying myself. If there is a societal convention for any "interest" to be considered "nerdy" then I can almost guarantee I'm into it. I can wax poetic on punk rock, Star Wars and quantum physics...sometimes all in the same breath. I'm a dork, but I can dance and drink a mean beer if I have to.

I'd like to meet:

people who have a clue...

Music:

Smiths, Pixies (all the old school 80's post-punk) Gorilla Biscuits, Kid Dynomite, Strike Anywhere, Avail, Action Patrol, VCR (Richmond rules!) Beatles, PGMG, Metric, Le Tigre, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Bright Eyes, NIN, Hot Snakes, Alkaline Trio, The Faint, Fischerspooner, etc...

Movies:

Star Wars, Ralph Bakshi movies, Akira, Kubrick movies, Lucas Movies, Kurosawa movies, Ghost World, Royal Tennanbaums, there's so many, big film geek

Books:

I read constantly. I wouldn't know where to begin with my favorites.

Heroes:

Morrissey for his wit, Mary for her love, and Jesus (as he's WRITTEN, not as he's been misrepresented) for being chill. Gavin McInnes for not giving a fuck, Terry Richardson for shooting with the palatte of my writing voice, and what was once Rolling Stone for truly loving music. Howard Bloom for the paradigm shift, my friends for keeping me real, and the shitbags of the world for giving me a negative pole from which to be repelled.
