Shakespeare(actors, please for the love of mike - do your damn scansion), theatre, critical thinking, hard cider, poker, books, irony, grammar, science blogs, webcomics, comedians, battling my curly hair, snark, science, skepticism and (sigh) World of Warcraft.
People I used to know, or people I may want to know. In general I'm not opposed to expanding my social circle, but if you want to try to hook up with me or whatever, don't bother. *edit* If you're someone I've never met who's just adding me to have a super-long friends list, piss off. If you're a band, I'll listen to your clip and I'll add you if I like you. If you're a comic - well, I probably already have a little fan crush on you, so you're likely a shoe-in. If you have shitty grammar and/or can't spell... I hate you.
Flogging Molly, Groovelily, Dar Williams, Lucinda Williams, Social D, Fiona Apple, Reel Big Fish, Dan Bern, Johnny Cash, The Red Elvises, The Dresden Dolls, Tori Amos, Richard Cheese, Rufus Wainwright, The Beatles, The Animals, Creedence Clearwater Revival... I also like classic jazz and blues, and certain iconic singers - Ella, Billie, Julie London, Patsy Cline...and so on.
V for Vendetta, Amalie, Reefer Madness the Musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Casablanca, Network, The Lost Boys, Goonies, Office Space, Army of Darkness, Serenity, the Godfather Trilogy, Pleasantville, Donnie Darko, stuff with a good script that doesn't insult my intelligence.

Books about words make me the happy. I swim in books. I love the smell and the feel of them. I devour them in large chunks. I like to talk about them and share them and thrust favorites into your hands demanding that you READ. THIS. NOW!
