The exact date is uncertain, but it is generally believed that I was discovered as a small child, wandering the streets of the Pigalle district of Paris in the late 1880's. I was unable to communicate except by way of a sing-song pidgin French, taught by the feral foxes who allegedly suckled me. A tender-hearted cleric took me in and taught me to speak. Several years later, whilst appearing in Phineas T. Barnum's circus as 'Wolf Girl', I struck up a friendship with the solitary Master Benn and his unfortunate brother, Clovis. Late at night we would sing and play together to assuage the loneliness and fear...Fascinated by life, I lie awake at night dreaming of the ocean crashing against the cliffs. I remind my friends to breathe and often forget to do so myself.
Crisp sheets, pine needles and pumpkins in autumn - I miss home. I laugh when inappropriate, work all the time, dislike rules - yet respect their purpose.
I'm still playing dress up at life, I weep instead of talking, talk instead of laughing and sing out loud WAY too much! I have forgotten most of my French...
