Inspired by a diverse range of influences ranging from car crashes and emotional scars, to boy bands and pantomimes, pAPeR TigERs add their own unique slant on modern life and paint a distinctive musical canvas. Parallels are hard to draw, but one reviewer has described them as ‘Longpigs meets Doves in Snow Patrols bedroom’.
This audio soundscape is then reinforced by explosive live performances, leading to such plaudits as;
"I love this Band, you’ve got to see them live"
Emma Scott - Kerrang! Radio
"Having listened to Paper Tigers single I was very excited about seeing them live, but a little nervous in case, like so many bands, they didn't live up to my expectations. I needn't have worried of course cos they are Grrrrrrrreat.....(excuse the tiger related pun). Musically very tight and quite intense at times, whilst managing to stay fun and sexy. Ben clearly means every word he sings and carries the audience along in the pleasure and pain of it all. They're definitely a band who will grow into bigger venues and crowds nicely.
Rachel New - Kerrang! Radio
"...I think pAPeR TigERs are ace too, I saw them a few weeks back at the Flapper and they were just amazing...A top time was had by all...Hot Band"
Ugly Phil - Kerrang! Radio
"...Perhaps it’s the fact that the lead singer displays, in the way that he plays and conducts himself, a large amount of confidence that has undoubtedly come from four years experience of playing live. Maybe it’s the fact that they branched out and wrote a song in 12/8 time. It could be the backing vocals, which at times sounded like a gospel choir. The musically superb guitar solos certainly added another level to the songs. It could even have been their well-paced set with a mix of fast and loud songs with soft and slow ballads....
More likely, however, it’s all of them at the same time, and a little more.
By the second half of the set, the audience was in the palms of their hands, and I was no exception; I loved every minute of it. Their final song was Damaged Goods, and the lead singer successfully managed to divide the crowd into two and have them sing both vocal lines; considering the statues that usually crowd the Varsity, this is quite an achievement...This band has the potential to be enormous"
Matt Dooner - Monochrome Museum.co.uk

Damaged Goods is receiving top reviews such as:
''I bloody love 'Damaged goods', get an album out quick sharp boys cos I feel like a 13 year old keep playing the single over and over again, it's driving my mum mad....'
Kerrang! Radio - Rachel New - Ugly Phil Breakfast Show
"Wow..How good is that?...we are just loving that here at Kerrang! at the moment, that was pAPeR TigERs and their debut single Damaged Goods"
Kerrang! Radio - Loz Guest - Head of Specialist Music
"...Fair to say that 'Damaged Goods' isn't a single either, it's a proper song that muscles and slips it's way through some classy influences that we can't agree on here, but it's a big, anthemic thing with a big mix, yet it still sounds like some cocky sods waltzed onto a stadium stage and took it in their stride."

"WATCH out for the Paper Tigers because they have the skills to pay the bills!
Damaged Goods is a more than accomplished debut single, providing a rocky edge to a melodic tale of melancholy. Chuck in a superb guitar riff and driving drums, and you've got the recipe for a great rock song. Will be intrigued to see if they can follow this up with an album of equal quality, but if you like the ilk of the Doves and the Longpigs – and who doesn't?! – this is seriously your bag."

"Paper Tigers - Damaged Goods. Although you don’t want to like this, there is always something about epic, slow building emotional songs, you know, the ones complete with the lead singer’s voice breaking just before that final push (and chord change) which produces the welling of tears, EVERY TIME that you can’t ignore."
Charlotte Otter - New-noise.net
"Raspy and driven in equal measures - paper tigers have a lot of soul to give amongst the U2 echo-driven riffs…"
suba-cultcha.com
"The Midlands based four piece deliver a strong debut single that feels not unlike ‘The Lightening Seeds’ covering ‘Dashboard Confessional’ due to the slightly angsty lyrics! Think Britpop during the late 90’s. That said it’s rather catchy and the track works equally well when played stripped back. Worth checking out! 4/5"
Greg Thomas - Rock-city.co.uk
"From it's measured, almost folky opening bars, the debut single from a Midlands quartet unsure of the function of capital letters builds into a driving anthem with whirring guitars and soaring harmonies. The quality of the song is confirmed by a jolly acoustic version with lashings of fiddle. A fresh indie sound worth checking out."
Andy Parker - Burton Mail
"That damn chorus has been stuck in my head all day."
Quench Magazine.
A U.K tour to launch & promote 'Damaged Goods' is already underway, with pAPeR TigERs making return trips to some of their favourite venues around the UK, including dates @ Birmingham Academy Bar, The Junction in York, The Mixing Tin in Leeds and the Cavern Club in Liverpool.
