About Me

I love dogs more than is reasonable, and will emit a high pitched sound upon spotting one
I'm off to Europe to travel round in a van with Lovely Phil in July for as long as possible and am very excited
I want to build a house
I always step off the escalator onto my left foot to even out the wear on the metal bit as you get off. I feel this excuses me from giving to charities and generally helping the needy.
I once met rolf harris. I was wearing pink shorts, a C & A tee shirt and CICA trainers. Rolf Harris used to bea swimmer, y'know

I've written award-winning poetry but peaked artistically at the age of 11

I once stole a packet of polos from the co-op.
I love story songs about love and loss

I like green

I really, really like crispy duck
Most of my head is taken up with lyrics and music most of the time and I often doubt whether I can ever fully focus on much else.

I once fell in the Thames while feeding ducks

I am moved to tears by anyone getting onstage and singing anything

The geek shall inherit the earth
I love advent calendars, especially non-chocolate ones.

I like most animals, except german shepherds
I have a one-eyed fish
I'm a guitarist radar. It's quite a talent.
I want to travel America endlessly.
I am currently searching for the right shoes to do this with.

Never a lender nor a borrower be

I hope you're sitting down. The biblographic gods have smiled 'pon me, and deemed me worthy of an unconditional offer to study Library & Info Management at U to the W to the E. In a...

carpal tunnel of love

My wrist hurts from handling too many books. Spooning out delicious knowledge to the dispassionate learned masses. I am a martyr. Just watch me mart with enthusiasm. The weekend was good fun. Vic came...

Today a pigeon...

...wandered, quite unchallenged, through the library turnstile and through the doorway into the circular security desk at the front of the library. It was not dressed as Osama Bin Laden but did not ha...

its hard for me to kick against the (rolling) stacks

Its not easy becoming a librarian. It involves a MSc before I can do anything professional for starters. I've now worked out that if I save like a good girl I can put myself through Library School (I ...

Whooh, it's been a while. Sorry about that. I just couldn't bring myself to type an update on a french keyboard. Well, we successfully did some sort of trip in our little van. It was lovely. We didn't...

fear of the dark

Well, if a funeral and then a bad cold is a way to turn a four-day week into a two-day week, I'd actually rather be at work. Daytime TV is even worse than I'd remember, although Jeremy Kyle still impr...
