Michael started playing guitar at age 7 being taught by his dad. He began playing a lot of Beatles tunes before he became a huge AC/DC fan at age 10. He had his first band Anonym at age 12. They played originals only!
At age 15 Michael formed Desert Rock which mainly covered 60s and 70s songs. During the same time Michael was introduced to recording - again by his dad - using an old 4 track machine. Michael later joined the Rock/Reggae Band Insession replacing » Thorsten Praest who started his go at Metal at the time. Shortly after moving to Düsseldorf in 91 Michael joined Thorstens band » Riot Act as their bass player. Originally that was meant to be a temporary solution but Michael soon discovered the bass being his instrument. Riot Act played tons of gigs, released a CD in 93, had clips on MTV and VIVA in 93 and 94.
When time had come to break up in 95 Thorsten and Michael formed » Hühnerfriedhof - a band that still exists today and is his main band! In 2000 Michael picked up the guitar again forming » The Bootles (Beatles Cover) together with Ollie B. with whom he also shared lead vocals. Around the same time B-One was founded in which he also played guitar. A little later Michael joined Sexells (which is best described as a Chili Peppers-like Crossover band) as their bassplayer.
Michael then recorded a CD and toured with PUN in 2003 and did recordings with bands like Tragedy and others...
In 2004 Hühnerfriedhof released their 2nd CD Zieh' Dich aus which soon gained attention amongst critics, listeners and musicians.
The latest Hühnerfriedhof release is the motion picture soundtrack for 0231 - der Film , a very funny movie featuring Willy Thomczyk, Markus Knüfken, Rene Heinersdorff, Stefan Lehnen, Dustin Semmelrogge, Julia Beerhold and others - in cinemas from December 2006.
Michael then signed an endorsement deal with » Warwick in 2007.
In 2008 Michael joins German Thrash Metal Legend » Assassin , taking over from the great » UFO Walter .
Michael is official endorser of basses.
