Dwight - Bio:
In a nutshell - Mildly disturbed, somewhat melodic, severely catchy rock music.
Dwight are Stephen and Emmett O’Sullivan (brothers since birth from Kerry) and Eoin Barry-Murphy (brother since bass from Cork).
The trio started playing together in a serious capacity in 2003 when they found themselves based in Dublin city. Each brought his own eclectic group of influences to the table (from Russian choir to Radiohead to Weezer to the Doors to the Cure to the Sex Pistols to.... you get the picture). The end product was a beautiful unique sound, refreshing in its honesty, exciting in its humour and infuriating in its catchiness.
Dwight quickly honed their skills and burst onto the live scene. They played, and very soon after headlined, many of the most prestigious venues in Ireland, gaining a reputation as energetic, electric performers.
Enthused, the trio decided to take the next step and spent some time in the studio. The result sings for itself. Released in The Village in February 2004, the 'Kill or Cure' EP captured the melodic energy of the live act and has planted Dwight firmly in ears all over. The EP was independantly released and distributed nationwide and soon, reminiscent of the great famine, the Dwight Blight had been spread across the land.
Promoting such a product was easy and it has received airplay on both national and local radio. Some feedback:

Since the EP release Dwight have watched their profile shoot up and their fanbase grow steadily. Dwight were chosen to play at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin in 2004 and the end of the year saw them invited to support such acts as Pony Club, Fred and Alphastates. Not a bad years work!
In recent months Dwight have guested alongside Fred, The Frank and Walters and Turn. The boys have recently compiled a new setlist of electric melodies and have begun recording their debut album in the hills of Kerry.
