The Crushing Low

Psychogaze Indie Rock

About Me

Formed in 2006, The Crushing Low's main focus was to find other like minded individuals to write songs, play shows and record. The band's musical influences range from the shoegaze craze of the late 80's and early 90's to indie rock of the 70's and 80's. Other influences have snuck in bringing in elements of new wave and what was once called Alternative. The line-up was fleshed out by Ed Healy (Vocals, Guitar) and Scott Lerner (Guitar) - formerly of Pure Fiction - who met by way of a listing in a local classified posting board. The original rytym section of Chris Mikes (Bass) and Matt Belyea (Drums) has moved on. The replacements, Alex Lynch (Bass) and Scott Maher (Drums) have joined recently. The band will release their debut demo in April of 2007.
