About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Check it out: The PSPOT Hello all fellow 60's garage, psych, obscure pop and gum fans, collectors, affectionados, bands, artists and music friends! Welcome to THE PSPOT (pronounced 'spot'): winner of The Knights Of Fuzz Award and picked by the U.K. music magazine RECORD COLLECTOR as having one of the best Garage & Psych links on the web. The original PSPOT enjoyed an 8 year run in two formats. It's purpose was (and is again) to bring together as many good people that love this music and to spread the aural word about the endless underground music of THE BEST DECADE IN ROCK AND ROLL to all that will listen. I "retired" The PSPOT on March 2006, because of personal reasons and I thought it went as far as it could. Well, this music is in my blood, and it never left me. People new to this music are growing, and I thought that a return would be constructive. I had made several great music friends and learned much during that 8 year trip. Now it is time to enter the next phase with a revised format that will contain previous PSPOT highlights, such as PSPOTSVILLE-LINKS, illustrated "BEST-OF" lists, MUSIC TRIVIA, webpages dedicated to past and present music-related trips and events, and INTERVIEW/DIRECT TRIVIA from actual 60's garage and psych bands & artists. THE PSPOT will also contain old features such as THE MESSAGE BOARD, CHAT, a LYRICS section, and a special tribute to 60's IOWA GARAGE/PSYCH BANDS & THE IOWA ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM. This section will highlight various Hawkeye bands, such as GONN, and focus on THE HALL. It will also continue the DAVID AND THE GOLIATHS PROJECT, have sections called PSPOTBLUES and PSPOTSOUL, and will address American Music History from the first recordings (1890's) to the present. So, enjoy the ride, post a message, create a music album, check out the pages on the side, and let me know if you have ANY questions or comments. KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE AND KEEP ROCKIN'! "It's All About The Music"
