About Me

MyGenOF ALL THE WORLD'S RELIGIONS, THE ONE THAT MOST INTERESTS ME, RIGHT NOW, AND ALWAYS HAS, IS BUDDHISM. ROBERT A. F. THURMAN IS "THE MAN" TO HEAR GIVE TALKS ON THIS DISCIPLINE. HERE IS THE DVD COLLECTION DEVOTED TO HIM AND HIS EXPERTISE --GO and SEE THE FILM, "Into The Wild", please! It STARS Emile Hirsch & is out now in theatres. The film is inspired by the BEST-SELLING Jon Krakauer book, of the same name. The Trailer is GORGEOUS! Sean Penn is a real stickler for detail in not only perfectly casting this movie, but, also in making people, places, & things look GREAT on film!

I AM a .... ....Got Hubris? Got Whaaaat? I am a closeted Exhibitionist with an Ego the size of Jet. And, I love everyone else, too. No, really!WHY am I even here? (Non-existentially speaking, of course ...)I am a Narcissist ---------------- Narcissists My-Space, don't they? Aren't we all intent on letting others KNOW just who we are?Yep!____________________________________________________ _______I FIRST came to MySpace as a Fan of the actour, Emile Hirsch. I decided to stay on MySpace because I have become a fan of damn near everyone & EVERYTHING else! It's a GAS to "meet" folks you wouldn't ordinarily see or encounter in your REAL life, as well.I think so ...Plus Cyberspace is liberating, tooWriting is FREEing ...My-Space is ADDICTing, too -- 'tis fun to see others' creativity and mastery of web-design ... You can have the sort of UNinhibited fun here on My-Space that you might not be able to have in The Real WorldI am COOL with most folks out here, ...UNLESS you are truly MEAN-spirited, off-putting, or insufferably arrogant and think that others LIVE to "friend" you ... My Interests

(Gay) Directour-extraordinaire, GUS VAN SANT (See B/W Pic, just under the DVD Harvey-Doc cover) rides a-gain, tall in the saddle, and, will direct the LONG-AWAITED Bio-Pic about slain San Franciscan, gay politician and hero, HARVEY MILK, starring none other than SEAN PENN, in the role of Milk, and his now new side-kick, the always compelling actor, EMILE HIRSCH. The film is entitled "Milk", but, this could change --Going: "INTO THE WILD"! I SAW THIS FILM FIVE TIMES AND LOVED IT! :) I cannot recommend it enough to folks, and EMILE HIRSCH was his best yet, therein ... Now, let's see what the DVD has in store for the Fans ...
THANK YOU, to MySpacer, Aaron Chittum, for helping me do the ole My-Space Picture Code THANG! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------- The following Photo is of an Actour's DIRECTOUR (Sean Penn) directing / LENSING an Actour's ACTOUR (Emile Hirsch) on ONE of the many, MANY "Into The Wild" sets, in and around this great country of ours! -- The Cast and Crew, of this film, traversed The U. S. of A., looking for places where the REAL Chris McCandless actually stayed. They then strived to film in, or as close to, the real locations that they could :) -- We can see Emile-as Chris M., here, filmed near the California / Mexico border, I believe ...HERE IS ANTHER FILM THAT BLEW ME AWAY: ------------ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE,"ALPHA DOG", THEN BY ALL MEANS DO RENT IT! ANTON YELCHIN AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ARE THE TWO ACTING SURPRISES, OR THEY WERE FOR THIS CHICK, IN THIS FILM. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO "TALK" WITH THE FILM'S DIRECTOUR, OVER IN IMDB.COM, TOO -- KUDOS TO NICK-O CASSAVETES, AND THANK YOU!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++WARNING:

LET ME BEGIN BY CATEGORICALLY STATING: "THE DEVIL MADE THIS ANGEL DO IT!"GREETINGS and Good Tidings from Nothingness Central: My ID battles with my SUPER-EGO eternally, for superiourity, IN-cessantly ...AS irony would have it, My INTERESTS are encyclopaedic, all-encompassing & utterly enervating to even consider pondering, right now ... There is no ONE nor, no THING in whom (or which) I have NOT been drawn to or riveted by, in this (my first) life on Earth. They, like me ... are ... ever-evolving, morphing. ---------Face it, People, aren't we all works of Art in progress? And ... If you can understand what I just wrote, then, you know English better than I (DO) ...OK, LET'S START WITH THIS:

Lyrics
... CUZ, I LOOOOOOVE WARM, SUNNY WEATHER, MAN!------- I luv WeatherMen.I LOVE ... Fun-in-the-Sun ...I JUST WENT TO HAWAI'I ... RECENTLY ...

Lyrics
for the FIRST time in my LIFE, in March of 2007!I STAYED ON THE ISLE OF OAH'U ...ALOHA!And, yeah ... they really do say "MAHALO", too! ----------- I am going BACK to Hawai'i in 2008! It's the BIG ISLE for us, this time ...I ALSO VERY MUCH AM INTO THE FOLLOWING ... (EXCUSE THE FUCKED UP SYNTAX)All Things "Indie" (Muzak 'n' Movies) top the bill, at present, with all types of SURF-ing (Bod, Board, and Web) + Surf/ SK8 Icons coming in a veddy, veddy close second! I can read about Spike Lee and The 80's 'til I drop, World Religions, Japan, Royalty, Asia and its cookery ... I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT THE BOOKS I LOVE.Emile Hirsch, Morgan Spurlock also intrigue me, but you already know THAT! I like Micky Dolenz, and David Jones even ... which means I'm not poisonous, hmmmmm. I like The Beasties (Boys!) and The Chemical Brothers, The Ministry of sound, ergo , and the way in which DJ's craft their sound(s), & what they do.What else? I like EURO-trashy people and ... EURO-spicy movies ... Face it, don't The French DO relationships well in their Pictures?I also like Howard Stern, because I know better than to NOT get his Goofs (*winks*)! Booooo Hiiiiissss to that damn ClearChannel for fine'ing him up the wazoo ... Weren't they "teenagers" once, too? C'mon, now ...I am an active, Triple-A personality type, who never did master the art of just sitting still ... except when I am at a computer ... Machines and their machinations ever-fascinate me.What else? I like libraries, reading, learning, absorbing, vast open spaces (outside my own mind), Royalty, Toy-Boyalty, Nan Goldin and the Neo-realists ... I saw one of Nan's Gallery shows: Sisters, Saints and Sybils. It KICKED! ------------------------------------------------ To be continued ... I may wake up tomorrow and decide I'm ...................................... INNOCENT!

I'd like to meet:

OK, sooooo ... I have decided that the more people I meet ... the more I am warming to the notion of adopting Cock-roaches as housepets ...PSYCH / J/K :)I FAVOUR COUGARS OVER 'ROACHES. Kitty-Kats, I love!I AM A BIT OF A FLIRT ...WHAT KIND OF FLIRT AM I?SURVEY SAYS:
You Are a Coy Flirt
You may not seem like you're flirting, but you know exactly what you're doing.
You draw people in, very calculatingly, without them even knowing.
Subtle and understated, you know how to best leverage your sex appeal.
A sexy enigma, you easily become an object of obsession.

Kate Hudson______________________________________________________ ___________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ _______________I want To give Andy DICK (Dicky) my LUV and support! He may be WACKA, but ... is anyone perfect? --------------The Guy's got Balls, and ... well, if he wants to show them to everyone, then ... the least we can all do is play along, no? He's compelling and funny ...I admire the actor, Emile Hirsch. I met him, once. ADORABLE!I admire his empathic character-portrayal actually. He brings vulnerability, sageness, street-wiseness, endearing shyness to his work, as well ...GREAT Actours bring themselves to the table in doing what they do.OK, but back to who I REALLY want to down a sit-down with:Let's make Danny Bonaduce my numero-uno wannameet, cuz he puts the FUN in ... DysFUNctional! ------------------------ Chaotic upbringings, anyone? And, now onto others:I would also like to meet film-maker and risk-taker MORGAN SPURLOCK, who allowed Micky-D's to SUPERSIZE him ... almost to extinction! -- Didn't you just love his Movie? I want to learn how to GO VEGAN, too. But, I hate the taste of "Veat" and other fake meat.(Pssst, why is "Field Roast" called that anyway?)Let's see, who else? I'd like to meet the reincarnated Kurt Cobain and ask him why the fuck he ever wanted to be famous ... I loooooove Courtney and HOLE. Mwah! Shout out to all at Kitty-Radio. com, & My suicide Gals!Hmmmm, am I done? I'd like to meet up with Jimi (Hendrix) who, as we allll know was just ... MISUNDERSTOOD, in the after-life, and, ask him why Al (his Daddy-Bear) outlived him, cuz Al and my Dad were tight for a time -- (Al Hendrix was my Dad's patient -- It's true)Hey, my Dad's dead too -- Maybe mortality's contagious? When she was a-live, I wanted to "do" Princess Diana. I mean screw the meeting part ...I wanna ask that Papa Joe Simpson (Jessica's Bio-Dad), "Whassup with that crush you appear to have on your own flesh and blood, anyway? and, let's stay focused on the wife's boobs and not your kids', uh?I'd love to talk filmic representation with Martin Scorcese ("Goodfellas", yeah!) and as I hear Henry Hill is working as a (get this!) Sous-Chef here in Seattle, & I want to know where the Feds have HIM hidden ... I want to meet Roman Polanski and tell him I think 'Repulsion' is brill ! I want to meet David Lynch and ask him why he ever did that stoooopid TV series ...which led to his down-fall, methinks ...Sean Lennon would be fun to talk to, briefly ---- He handles Fame-by-Association well.I saw Andy Rooney when I was in NYC recently (April of '06). Bumped into Tim Burton on the pavement, too. Saw Sienna Miller a la Edie Sedgewick filming her lil heart out in Soho, too ...It's funny ... I would not recognise HALF these people were they not pointed out to me, or (as in the case of Burton) were they so off-beat looking to begin with ...I love NYC! I love New Yorkers, and I am NOT currying favour, here. Frank Sinatra is right ----- NYC is a toddlin' town!I like candour, directness ... MOXIE.Gimme Moxie, Baby :)Cripes, stay tuned ... There are soooo many people I want to meet that it is impossible to list them all in a finite space.Oh, did I mention the actress, Patricia Clarkson? Or, the actour Philip Seymour Hoffman? Is there any role they cannot enact? I would love to ask them how they do what they do and so well, too ...I'd love to meet Bill Clinton and ask whassup with Monica cuz I KNOW he has her squirrelled away somewhere (but, only for safe-keeping you must understand ...)I want to ask BUSH (Yes-sir, that's my Bush!) when the troops will be freed from captivity in Iraq.I mean, we've OUSTED Saddam. Now, let's allow The Iraqis the FREEDOM to self-govern and not try and impose our culture and ways on EVERYBODY, alright? -------------------Americans can and will be Empirialists. WE think we have allll the answers.I want to re-meet Micky Dolenz and ask him how he felt being jacked by W-CBS FM ... In the mean-time, watch this space for updates.AND ... Please ... Follow this advice:

DON'T LOOK DOWN, OR ... YOU'LL FALL THRU' THIS FLOOR!AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Music:

MUZAK makes me want to do THIS:OR .... THIS!My tastes in Muzak are eclectic. Shout outs the The Beasties (Boys), The Chemical Bros., and all the DJ's who craft their sounds from seeing nothingness... I like almost everything that has come down the Rock and Roll 'Pike, from the Pre-Fab, The Monkees (Hey, I met two of 'em ... Don't hate on me) to The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and The White Stripes (Get behind me, Satan!). I like Aerosmith, Paul McCartney, Lenny Kravitz, Billy Joel, OASIS (Yessss!), Humble Pie, Peter Frampton (his earlier, "classic" stuff and thank-you-very-much ...), Nirvana (cuz Curt's a Homie, may he RIP ... I saw him on the bus one day and boy, were his pupils pinned!), Jimi Hendrix (cuz he's one too and my Dad was his Dad's Doc, no lie!), Led Zepellin (cuz either they or I can't spell!), Courtney Love (cuz I keep hopin' her NEXT release will equal the prophetic "Live through This"), Veruca Salt (because their "American Thighs" will live in infamy), ELASTICA (because Brit, Electro-rock I never thought I could groove on until I gave these Folks a listen to), ABBA (because anything by them cures constipation, instantaneously) ... yada, yada, yada ... Oh, and I even like Cheryl Crow and shame about the break-up with Lance ... Cheryl's gone all soft of late. Someone needs to convince her to rock out again, like she did in her SECOND album which dropped in '94. I like Billy Joel, too and Billy-Bob Thorton's band -- what's it called again? ... I loooooove WEEN's "Shinola ... " "Big Fat Fuck"?? Excellent! ... MUZAK with a sense of humour? ... Hmmmm, not so hard to fathom.Shout out to: The SPICE Girls, Steppenwolf, Paula Revere and The Raiders, G-LOVE & the Special Sauce (Uh-huhhhh, cuz he's from Philly, Woo-Hoo, Wut-Wut!!), and Canada's (don't laugh) The Guess Who!Oh, I cannot depart without nodding my head to The Neville Brothers, who KICK BUTT live! / May their city of birth and rearing, New Orleans, find re-birth and come back bigger and better than ever, puh-leez, after KATRINA vented her wrath ... L7? One of your songs WAS my CURRENT Profile Song Need I add any more? ... I LOVe Fox-Core!Ahhhh, but The Monkees have ruled my heart and head for the past 30 years, soooooo either I am mad or ... OK, so call me crazy. If you try to be cool, you're fucked!__________________________________________________So, in the meantime, just DO THIS:

Movies:

_________________________IF it's FRENCH, I will probably LIKE it:Here are TWO French Films I have seen of late, that I quite liked:______________________________________________________ __________WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT FILMIC REPRESENTATIONS OF LIFE AS WE HAVE COME TO KNOW IT, OR ... WISH IT WERE?______________________________ Gotta kick off with saying I adore the film "Lords of Dogtown",

and I had a good time viewing it as many times as I did, both theatrically and on DVD! Damn that SONY Pictures Studios for releasing it in tandem with everything else destined to eclipse it ... I mean come on! What the Hell was everyone thinking, or ... and here's the clincher: Were they??More on/ about the fab-u-lo-so flick BELOW, GOOOOOOO BELOW, so don't look away now .............ETERNAL RAMBLINGS OF A CONFUSED MIND?Nope, but I did enjoy this Movie,

, IMMENSELY as well as GONDRY's eternal cleverness, & creativity ...GO RENT AND/OR ... BUY "THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP" ... PLEASE!!!!ONWARD ............................................................ .............THE MOVIE, AND ... THE PLAY, "RENT",

MOST TYPIFY MY LIFE AS I NOW KNOW IT, TO BE ................ Day to day struggles are not foreign to this Chick -- Pity that the Playwright, Jonathan Larson, died of AIDS just before his Baby hit The Great White Way ... Lives are all too short. We are all vulnerable. -----Saw "The Squid and The Whale" / Poor Jeff Daniels slept-walked right the way thru' it ... He's made of sterner acting stuff, methinks.I saw the film, "Malfunkshun" (at our Northwest Film Forum, an esteemable organisation that I am considering joining) about the charismatic, but, doomed lead-singer of Seattle's legendary band, "Mother Love Bone" -- The film ROCKED literally, and all the usual suspects, "taking heads" littered the scene, talking about the dearly departed, form Chris Cornell of "AudioSlave" to folks from "PearlJam", "MudHoney" and beyond! Recently, I have also partaken of the Bio-Pic, "Tell them Who you Are" about the late cinematographer, Haskell Wexler as relayed by his son, Mark Wexler. Fab-u-lo-so, that one. "Aristocrats" was also a movie I would rec to anyone, who just, plain looooves to laugh, uproariously! Careful about thinking that this movie is what it was advertised to be: It is ... NOT the re-telling of a rather ribald joke by 100 some-odd Comedians. The movie is mostly about a majourity of Comics THEORISING about a joke of questionable repute, whose borrrrrring quotient is only SAVED by one female Comic who inverts the whole schmear inside out & tells HER own inimitable version of the Tale! I say: Go see this flick just to hear her / Sara Silverman! Oh -- she has her own flick coming out soon / ain't gonna miss that one ...FLAME-ON RANT: IF I SEE ONE MORE OF THOSE DAMN "STELLA ARTOIS" SHORTS THAT PRECEDE ANY MOVIE, I WILL SCREAM!(There, I feel much better now ... )Oh, gotta give it up to "Little Big Man", PETER DINKLAGE (Actour Extraordinaire) for spicing up "The Baxter" even though the movie got shitty reviews :( !! I have admired "The Dink" since seeing him take it away in "The Station Agent" / A (friggin'!) a-mazing performance, People.Gosh, what else (movie-wise) has riveted The Kid?GO SEE "Reel Paradise", about an Indie-Movie Bigwhig who takes off for the remotest part of Fiji and shows movies there to the villagers for a year! Think you got prob-lem-os? Sit and hear the Guy's saga for 2 hours ... Sheesh ...Gotta love those French ... They do relationships up right, and tight! Any movie made by Francois Ozon is guaranteed to at least make you think twice about two-timing anyone. Aye, Carumba! And the May-December thang that WE let wig us out? The French just figure that if we were meant to be scandal free, then ... we were also meant to be borrrring. That's why they made Guillaume Clinton an honourary "Le French Husband"! C'est a dire: Doin' yer secretary's a damn rite of passage ...Hey, who can sign off of "Movies" without giving high-n-mighty Props to "Lords of Dogtown", [SEE ABOVE AND MY POSTER, TOO!:)] ... and the whole gang (Actours, Skactours, Crew, Cat Hardwicke, you name it / THEM!) who helped bring this film and the SPEC-packed DVD to life? I mean ... it is a travesty that such a flick flopped! The DVD and "Behind the Scenes ..." book, put out by my friends up at Concrete Wave and the inimitable Michael Brooke, really do enliven the movie-going experience and I can tell you that LODT is NOT just for SK8trs, as it was so wrongly marketed to be ... :( This movie is rated "E" for everyone (cheesy as that may sound).Mmmmm, just saw "The Three Extremes" about macabre done Asian-Style and "The Cut" (Korea) cracked me up ... Sorry, but ... aren't Asian "horror" movies just plain tawdry in their cheesiness? Wait, scratch that / I loved "Dumplings" outta Hong Kong by Fruit Chan ...I can recommend "Garcon Stupide", about Gay life in modern-day Paris ... Saw "The Baxter" and thought it was meet-too-cutesy-poo. Dinklage played Gay too smarmily.Loved "Inside Deep Throat", mucho! Soooooo fuckin' funny, that ... It dealt with the making of a Porno Classic yet, this Doc was not at all what you might think it would be!"Goodfellas" kick ARSE, maja playa style! YOU ain't lived until you've bathed in Pesci's blood, People!Pesci does Schizo well, and he can turn on anyone like noooo body's business ... or, like this:The movie "Dirty Dancing"

is my guiltiest pleasure, too ... The soundtrack I literally grew up on -- just makes you feel good, that's all!"Nooobody puts Baby in a Corner."My Movie tastes are as eclectic as are my various Personae.I think "young", alas. So, that's why I got a KICK out of "Mean Girls" --

--Like, it was soooooooo FETCH! (lol) ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------What a CUTE idea, making one of my favourite books, CHARLOTTE's WEB, into a Movie ... Everybody say, "Awwwww" ... Julia Roberts voices Charlotte the Spider ... But, what's the best is one of my favourite "character actours", Steve Buscemi, voicing Templeton, the Rat! Yeah!

____________________________________________________________ __________________COOL POSTER that I just had to throw in here:

SWEET MOVIE THIS ONE, that I just had to ADD here, too:Scottish actour, (and British trained!) Alan Cumming produced this Gem of a film about an unlikely pair who meet, marry and ... THEN fall in love, in post WWI America! ------ Elizabeth Reaser & Tim Guinee are FAB-u-Lo-so, here!--------------------GREAT Casting really is almost everything when you are movie-making ...... I mean, isn't that what they always say?

Television:

I like Telly, sometimes, as much as the stars like being watched ... It's all about THEM, you know ...Maybe I am a "square-eyed" (British for TV Addict) Girl ... my guiltiest Telly watching pleasure is ... E! (YOU know The Drill: "We Watch The Stars & The Stars watch us!").Yeah.... You Cockney Queens got a problem with that?I like MTV, as well, BRAVO (Queer Eye for The Straight Guy, Baby) , VH1, KONG TV, The DISCOVERY Channel, TLC (for the Medical Shows and fake "movie blood"). Am begging COMCAST to get on The Schtick & pick up The Logo Channel ...I like "60 Minutes", CNN, The Weather Channel, "Larry King Live" (especially when royalty alights), CNN Headlines News, especially when Hurricanes come a knockin'...I just saw Andy Rooney in NYC. He likes French Food. Like you care ...I like News, Headline News, Exposees, and Tell-Alls ...Sitcoms, I cannot abide most times, however. Too banal, forced, & smarmy ...(To be continued, as my tastes mature and evolve ... )

Books:

This is the book I am reading AT THE MOMENT, and loving! This one, right here: I like books on/about World Religions, Japan, its Culture & Royal Family, Great Britain and its modern day, Royalty.I like Patrick McMullan's "So 80's".I am reading all about SPIKE LEE and HIS films. This book is good: . INTERVIEWS with Spike Lee is also a must-read!I also love "Into the Wild", by Jon Krakauer, and have read it TWICE.More to follow ... Stay tuned!

Heroes:

MY HEROES ARE: ----------- ... DOPE!The Hims / Hers who DARE to "Go There" & then LIVE (just barely!) to tell the Tale, are my eternal Heroes -LIKE: Big Wave Surfers:

(The aforementioned is subject to change at any moment ... )Actours, and any other Performers, who can cut loose in front of Folks, and, NEVER mind looking like an idiot doing so, also RANK.Gotta be man enough to transcend the need to be cool, People!
